Scout Motors Unveils Silo Green Terra Truck Concept

Scout Motors reveals the Silo Edition Terra concept truck with heritage-inspired Silo Green Metallic paint, modular cargo system, sustainable hemp interior materials, and 2027 delivery target under $60,000.

Scout Motors has revealed the Silo Edition Terra, a work-focused concept truck finished in a new Silo Green Metallic paint. The electric pickup draws heavily from the brand’s agricultural heritage. It features 37-inch all-terrain tires, a modular cargo system, and sustainable interior materials. Deliveries are expected in 2027 with a starting price under $60,000.

Highlights

  • Heritage-inspired color: The Silo Green Metallic paint uses a multi-stage process that shifts between green and gold tones depending on light angle and body form.
  • Off-road ready: The concept rides on 37-inch BFGoodrich all-terrain T/A KO3 tires mounted on 18-inch steel wheels with over 12 inches of ground clearance.
  • Modular cargo system: A new Scout Supply cargo box supports interchangeable “go boxes” designed for specific tasks, along with interior gear mounting panels.
  • Sustainable materials: The interior features a hemp-based wood composite made from agricultural byproducts bound with soy-based resin.

Farm-Inspired Design Language

The Silo Edition concept reflects Scout Motors’ effort to connect its electric future with its utilitarian past. Classic Scout vehicles built their reputation on farms and ranches. As a result, this concept targets buyers who need genuine work capability alongside modern refinement.

Aileen Barraza, Design Director for Color, Materials and Finishes, described the paint’s inspiration as rooted in rural imagery. The team referenced historic Scout vehicle colors in similar tonal families. They then modernized those references with contemporary pigments and metallic sparkle. The final result is a deep green with heavy gold metal flake that highlights the Terra’s body lines.

Exterior Equipment and Off-Road Features

Taylor Langhals, Chief Exterior Designer, led the accessory and exterior development. Every addition reinforces the truck’s work-ready identity. Key exterior features include:

  • Bull bar with integrated tow hooks and a shackle point for recovery
  • Roof rack with integrated forward lighting and rear chase lights
  • Rear chase lights with a pivot function that tilts downward for loading in low light
  • Off-road side steps designed for access without reducing ground clearance

An optional off-road package will also be available. It includes all-terrain tires, special shock tuning, a locking front differential, and additional recovery equipment such as heavy-duty winches and upgraded bumpers.

Modular Cargo and Accessory Ecosystem

In the bed, the Scout Supply cargo box anchors a broader ecosystem of modular storage. The concept arrives stocked with Scout Motors-designed tools. These include an axe, shovel, lantern, and binoculars. Each tool is built for rugged, functional use.

However, the modularity extends beyond the bed. Scout Motors envisions a unified accessory system that mounts to both a garage wall and directly into the truck. Inside the cabin, gear mounting panels and attachment points allow racks for tools, hiking equipment, or ski gear to snap into place. This approach hints at a future where accessories move seamlessly between storage and vehicle.

Interior Materials and Sustainable Finishes

The cabin continues the work-ready theme through deliberate material choices. Terracotta accents appear across the instrument panel, doors, seats, and steering wheel. Meanwhile, a new textured headliner woven with tan, gray, and brown tones adds visual depth and durability.

Functional touches include ruggedized toggles and knobs, a refined overhead console with an updated compass, and auxiliary switches for aftermarket additions. Notably, the concept uses a hemp-based wood material on the dash and door panels. This sustainable composite is created from agricultural hemp byproducts bound with a soy-based resin. It represents what Scout Motors calls a modern, responsible approach to natural materials rooted in American agriculture.
