Škoda Auto will unveil its all-new, all-electric Epiq city SUV crossover in the first half of 2026. The compact model joins the Elroq and Enyaq in the automaker’s growing battery-electric lineup. Built on Volkswagen Group’s new front-wheel-drive MEB+ platform, the Epiq pairs compact dimensions with a 475-liter boot and a range of up to 267 miles. Pricing in many markets will align with the combustion-engine Kamiq.
Highlights
- MEB+ platform debut: The Epiq is Škoda’s first model on the new front-wheel-drive MEB+ platform, offering two battery options (38.5 kWh LFP and 55 kWh NMC) and DC fast charging up to 133 kW.
- Three powertrain variants: Output ranges from 85 kW to 155 kW, with the top Epiq 55 reaching 0–100 km/h in 7.4 seconds and 267 miles of WLTP range.
- Travel Assist 3.0: The most advanced driver assistance package in any Škoda, including adaptive lane assist, traffic light response, and a Top View panoramic camera system.
- Affordable entry point: Positioned as Škoda’s lowest-priced BEV, the Epiq supports the brand’s strategy to double its all-electric portfolio by 2026.

Built on the MEB+ Platform
The Epiq is the first Škoda built on the MEB+ platform designed for smaller electric vehicles. The architecture uses a front-mounted motor and front-wheel drive. This layout maximizes cabin space, reduces weight, and improves energy efficiency.
Three variants are available, all powered by versions of the new APP290 electric motor:
- Epiq 35: 85 kW / 267 Nm, 38.5 kWh LFP battery, DC charging up to 50 kW, 196-mile range
- Epiq 40: 99 kW / 267 Nm, 38.5 kWh LFP battery, DC charging up to 90 kW, 196-mile range, 10–80% in 28 minutes
- Epiq 55: 155 kW / 290 Nm, 55 kWh NMC battery, DC charging up to 133 kW, 267-mile range, 10–80% in 23 minutes
All variants support 11 kW AC charging. The LFP battery offers longevity and low weight. The NMC battery provides higher energy density and greater range within the same dimensions.

Compact Dimensions, Generous Interior
The Epiq measures 4,171 mm long, 1,798 mm wide, and 1,581 mm tall on a 2,601 mm wheelbase. Those dimensions are comparable to the Kamiq. The boot holds 475 liters, which is 75 liters more than the Kamiq. Folding the rear seats expands cargo capacity to 1,344 liters. Interior storage totals nearly 26 liters across various compartments.
Kerb weight starts at 1,542 kg. Top speed reaches 160 km/h on the Epiq 55 variant. WLTP energy consumption sits at approximately 13.0–13.1 kWh/100 km across the range.
Modern Solid Design Language
The Epiq is the first Škoda production model to incorporate all elements of the brand’s Modern Solid design language. A new T-shaped light signature debuts on the headlights and is mirrored in the rear lighting. LED headlights are standard. The top-tier Matrix-LED option includes 12 segments with four driving modes.
The front features O-shaped air intakes with active shutters. Air Curtains are integrated into the front section to reduce drag. The aerodynamic coefficient reaches cx 0.275. Wheel sizes range from 17 to 19 inches.

Sustainable Interior With Three Design Options
The cabin uses a horizontal dashboard layout with ambient lighting strips. A 5.3-inch driver display shows driving data. A 13-inch central touchscreen controls infotainment and navigation.
Three Design Selections are available:
- Studio: Entry-level trim with 100% recycled PES seat textiles
- Loft: Available in grey or mint green with embossed patterning and Techtona synthetic leather on the dashboard and door panels; includes ambient lighting
- Suite: Suedia and Techtona upholstery in Tabora Brown with ambient lighting
New Simply Clever features include a compact cable bag secured to the boot’s top-tether hooks.
Advanced Driver Assistance Systems
The Epiq features Travel Assist 3.0, the most advanced assistance package in Škoda’s lineup. The system provides adaptive lane assist in both longitudinal and lateral directions across the full speed range. It can respond to traffic lights, road signs, and stop signs with automatic braking.
Traffic sign data updates daily over-the-air. The Top View panoramic camera system uses four cameras to display a bird’s-eye view with 3D visualization. Cross Assist 2.0 uses corner-mounted radar sensors to warn of approaching vehicles or cyclists at blind intersections. Up to seven airbags are available, including a central airbag between the front seats.
The suspension uses a MacPherson front axle and a twist-beam rear axle. Disc brakes are fitted on all four wheels. A new mechatronic unit integrates the ESC stability control system and brake booster.

Strategic Fit in Škoda’s EV Lineup
The Epiq is part of the Volkswagen Brand Group Core Electric Urban Car family, alongside the Cupra Raval, ID.Polo, and ID.Cross. The cross-brand initiative leverages shared economies of scale to deliver competitively priced entry-level EVs in Europe.
Škoda placed two models in the European BEV top five in 2025. The Elroq ranked second and the Enyaq seventh among best-selling battery-electric vehicles. The brand finished fourth overall among fully electric vehicle manufacturers. The forthcoming seven-seat Peaq will expand the lineup at the upper end.
