StoreDot’s 2024 EV Charging Breakthrough

StoreDot, a front-runner in the electric vehicle (EV) sector, has outlined significant advancements for 2024, focusing on the commercialization of its pioneering extreme fast charging (XFC) technology.

Key Developments in 2024: This year, StoreDot will concentrate on the mass production of XFC technologies, notably advanced B-sample prismatic cells. Collaborating with global car manufacturers, the company is aligning its research and development to meet OEM-specific requirements.

In partnership with Polestar, StoreDot is poised to unveil the world’s first EV fitted with XFC battery cell technology. This anticipated demonstration, featuring production-ready batteries in a prototype vehicle, is expected to transform the EV industry, encouraging widespread adoption of XFC technology.

Expansion in the US: Marking another strategic move, StoreDot is expanding its US operations with a new research facility in Irvine, California. This hub will focus on developing semi-solid and solid-state batteries, leveraging the talent pool available on the west coast and catering to US-based automotive clients.

Enhancing Global Partnerships: StoreDot is committed to strengthening its relationships with automotive manufacturers and manufacturing partners. The goal is to scale up its global manufacturing footprint, supporting car makers worldwide.

Through its ‘100inX’ product roadmap, StoreDot remains on schedule for producing XFC cells capable of charging 100 miles in 5 minutes in 2024. Future milestones include 100 miles in 4 minutes by 2026 and 3 minutes by 2028, a testament to StoreDot’s ongoing innovation and leadership in the field.

CEO’s Vision: Doron Myersdorf, CEO of StoreDot, expressed his enthusiasm for the future. “2024 will be a pivotal year, as we demonstrate our XFC technology’s scalability to automotive production. We’re leading the way in extreme fast charging, and this year will reinforce our trajectory towards commercialization,” he stated.

About StoreDot: StoreDot leads the way in extreme fast charging (XFC) electric vehicle batteries, addressing the primary concerns of range and charging anxiety in EV adoption. The company’s innovation involves synthesizing proprietary organic and inorganic compounds, optimized by AI algorithms. This technology promises an EV charging experience comparable to refueling a combustion engine car.

StoreDot’s ‘100inX’ roadmap is a bold stride towards ‘Range on DemandTM,’ offering 100 miles of charge in progressively decreasing time frames. Its strategic investors and partners include BP, Daimler, VinFast, Volvo Cars, and others. With over a dozen global OEMs verifying its extreme fast charging cell performance, StoreDot is well-positioned for mass production readiness of its 100in5 technology in 2024.
