SWIO Launches Rapid EV Chargers in Luxembourg

SWIO has introduced the EVBox Troniq High Power, one of the industry’s fastest EV charging stations, in Luxembourg. This collaboration between SWIO and EVBox marks a major milestone in providing the quickest charging experience available in the country.

SWIO, specializing in comprehensive charging management for electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles, partners with EVBox, a front-runner in European EV charging solutions. This union aims to elevate Luxembourg’s EV charging capabilities to unprecedented levels. Notably, SWIO is a joint venture between Losch, a mobility service provider, and SOCOM, an infrastructure engineering firm, formed to promote EV charging within Luxembourg. Already, SWIO has installed two EVBox Troniq High Power DC fast charging stations, capable of delivering 320kW and 400kW outputs.

Innovative Installation for Efficient Connectivity

Understanding the significance of ease in installation alongside product excellence, EVBox has revolutionized the installation process of its EVBox Troniq High Power stations. Following thorough field tests and feedback from installers and customers, the company has devised an innovative, proprietary installation technique. This approach features a modular design, a new base frame, and guiding templates, empowering installers with greater freedom and control over the installation of heavy power cables.

The process starts with embedding a plate base into the ground, simplifying and expediting the grid connection. This method eschews complex plinths, optimizes space for installers, and reduces errors and delays. Subsequently, the charging station is seamlessly positioned onto the base, ensuring an effortless installation for all EVBox Troniq High Power stations.

The Future of Fast Charging in Luxembourg

The deployment of these 320kW and 400kW stations is just the beginning of SWIO’s endeavor, in partnership with EVBox, to broaden the accessibility of fast charging throughout Luxembourg. SWIO plans to install multiple EVBox Troniq High Power charging stations across the country, facilitating convenient on-the-go charging and potentially transforming these areas into significant charging hubs.

Marvin Rassel, Coordinator at SWIO, highlights the impact of these installations: “We focus on providing tailor-made solutions for electric cars, and EVBox’s DC charging solutions has given our prospects the opportunity to fast charge on-the-go in public spaces. We are excited for the many installations of EVBox Troniq Modular happening soon and EVBox Troniq High Power to enable powerful and scalable fast charging in Luxembourg.
