UK: Hyundai IONIQ 6 N Arrives at £65,800

Hyundai's IONIQ 6 N arrives in the UK at £65,800 with 650 PS, 3.2-second acceleration, 302-mile range, and 800V charging capability on a single high-specification trim.

Hyundai Motor UK has opened order books for the IONIQ 6 N, an all-wheel-drive high-performance sedan built on the E-GMP platform. The vehicle delivers 650 PS and 770 Nm of torque with N Grin Boost engaged, accelerating from 0-62 mph in 3.2 seconds via N Launch Control and reaching a top speed of 160 mph.

Highlights

  • 650 PS output with 3.2-second 0-62 mph acceleration and 160 mph top speed using 84 kWh battery and dual-motor AWD
  • Enhanced N e-Shift with shorter gear ratios and upgraded N Active Sound+ hardware for driver engagement
  • Revised suspension geometry featuring stroke-sensing ECS dampers and lowered roll center for improved handling
  • Single UK specification at £65,800 with six exterior color options and optional Vision Roof

Powertrain and Performance

The IONIQ 6 N pairs a high-output front motor with a rear motor serving as the primary drive unit. The 84 kWh lithium-ion battery produces 535 kW of power. An electronic limited-slip differential (e-LSD) manages rear wheel torque for traction optimization.

The power electronics system incorporates an integrated motor, reducer, and inverter assembly at the front axle. Standard equipment includes N Launch Control, N Torque Distribution, and a customizable N-Drift Optimizer with pre-loaded racetrack maps.

Chassis and Suspension

Hyundai engineers redesigned the suspension geometry to lower the roll center for high-speed stability. Stroke-sensing Electronically Controlled Suspension (ECS) dampers work with revised bushing applications to balance handling precision with ride comfort.

Braking hardware consists of 400mm ventilated front rotors with four-piston monobloc calipers and 360mm ventilated rear rotors, fitted with orange brake calipers. The vehicle rides on 275/35R20 Pirelli P-Zero tires mounted to 20-inch five-spoke lightweight alloy wheels.

Charging and Range

The IONIQ 6 N supports both 800V and 400V charging architecture. At a 350 kW public charger, the battery reaches 80% capacity in 18 minutes. A 10.5 kW three-phase onboard charger enables full charging in 7 hours 35 minutes on compatible home wallboxes.

Maximum driving range reaches 302 miles under official testing. The vehicle includes battery pre-conditioning, a heat pump for efficiency, and Plug & Charge capability through the Charge myHyundai service.

Interior and Technology

The cabin features bucket seats upholstered in Alcantara suede and leather, a heated N Performance steering wheel with perforated leather and haptic feedback, and aluminum performance pedals. Ambient lighting with 64-color options integrates with the N e-Shift system.

Standard technology includes a 12.3-inch touchscreen navigation system, 12.3-inch TFT instrument cluster, augmented reality head-up display, BOSE premium audio with eight speakers, and Hyundai’s CcNC platform with over-the-air updates. Bluelink connected services carry a three-year subscription.

The IONIQ 6 N is available in a single specification at £65,800 OTR (£65,010 P11D). Paint options include Serenity White pearl (no cost), Performance Blue pearl (£750), Abyss Black pearl (£750), Nocturne Grey metallic (£750), Gravity Gold matte (£1,250), and Nocturne Grey matte (£1,250).
