Advanced Charging Capabilities
The new charging station at Jumbo Bedum offers a significant advancement for local EV drivers. With a charging capacity of up to 320 kW, vehicles can be powered up in a minimal amount of time, providing a new level of convenience for the area. The opening of the charging location was celebrated with the first customers receiving cake from Jumbo Bedum and PowerGo.

Dynamic Pricing and User Benefits
PowerGo utilizes a dynamic pricing model, which provides EV drivers with fair and transparent rates based on real-time electricity prices. This system encourages charging when more renewable energy is available on the grid, often resulting in lower costs for the consumer. Users can view charging prices for the next 24 hours through the free PowerGo Charge app. A promotional discount on the dynamic kWh price is available to customers who use the app. More information about the promotion can be found via this link.
A Green Solution for Grid Congestion
To address the congested electricity network in the Netherlands, PowerGo has implemented a charger with an integrated battery system. This innovative solution stores energy, which can then be used for charging sessions at a later time. This technology helps relieve the electricity grid during peak hours while ensuring charging needs are met at all other times. As part of a broader sustainability strategy, PowerGo exclusively uses solar energy generated from Dutch solar parks owned by its parent company, PowerField.
Enhanced Customer Convenience
The charging service is designed to complement the shopping experience at Jumbo. The average charging time aligns with the typical time customers spend inside the store, allowing many drivers to return to a fully charged vehicle after finishing their shopping. This collaboration between Jumbo Bedum and PowerGo delivers a green and user-friendly service to EV drivers throughout the region. The new charging location is at Noordwolderweg 7, 9781 AD, Bedum, the Netherlands.
