VinFast, Vietnam’s leading electric vehicle (EV) pioneer, has signed a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Tamil Nadu state government to establish a cutting-edge EV manufacturing hub in India. The initial investment of USD 500 million, with a potential total of USD 2 billion over five years, signifies VinFast’s commitment to the Indian market. The project will be situated in Thoothukudi, boasting an annual capacity of 150,000 EVs and creating up to 3,500 local jobs.
