Volvo’s small SUV, the EX30, has been awarded the prestigious Red Dot: Best of the Best Product Design Award for 2024. This recognition marks a significant achievement for the Volvo EX30, highlighting its outstanding design and innovation in the highly competitive automotive sector.

The award criteria focused on several core aspects of design excellence including functionality, appeal, usability, and responsibility. A panel of 39 international experts awarded the EX30 a score of 93 out of 100, placing it at the forefront of automotive design. “The Volvo EX30 embodies Volvo Cars’ design values in a smaller format and is a showcase in premium Scandinavian design where form follows function,” remarked Jim Rowan, CEO of Volvo Cars.
The design of the EX30 includes a long wheelbase and large wheels, which contribute to its balanced and refined exterior. The SUV uses natural and recycled materials, supporting Volvo’s environmental goals. Additionally, the layout inside the EX30 maximizes the benefits of its electric framework, offering a versatile and premium cabin space.
Multi-Awarded Vehicle
Revealed last summer, the EX30 has quickly become a favorite in the automotive world, amassing more than 20 accolades. These include the prestigious Car Design Award 2024 and recognitions such as The Sun Car of the Year and World Urban Car from the World Car of the Year.
