XPENG, a leading high-tech smart mobility company, has reported delivering 33,205 vehicles in March 2025, marking a 268% increase year-on-year and the fifth consecutive month of exceeding 30,000 deliveries. Alongside this achievement, the company has launched its global Over-The-Air (OTA) software update, XOS 5.6, enhancing various features for its users. This milestone underscores XPENG’s rapid growth in the electric vehicle (EV) market, while the software update reflects its focus on improving customer experience through innovative technology.

In the first quarter of 2025, XPENG delivered 94,008 units globally, solidifying its position as the most successful EV start-up. In the UK, 69,313 Battery Electric Vehicles (BEVs) were registered in March 2025, reflecting a 43.2% year-on-year increase and accounting for 19.4% of all vehicle registrations, according to the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT). These figures highlight the growing demand for EVs and XPENG’s significant contribution to this trend.
The XOS 5.6 OTA update, rolled out on April 8, 2025, introduces several enhancements. The upgraded Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) reduces unexpected deceleration, improving driving comfort. Meanwhile, the Lane Centring Control (LCC) now features Smart Camera Calibration, which adjusts cameras automatically for better lane-keeping accuracy. These improvements enhance both safety and stability on the road.
For European drivers, XOS 5.6 offers smarter charging station search capabilities. Users can filter stations by network operator and plug type, access pricing and site details, and use a layer control feature to visualize nearby charging points on maps. This functionality, supported by a refined algorithm, is available in countries like France, Germany, the UK, and Denmark, with plans for further expansion.
