XPENG Motors has officially launched the P7+, introducing the world’s first AI-defined vehicle. This innovative sedan combines premium quality with advanced AI technology, elevating both the intelligent driving experience and smart cockpit features. At the launch event, XPENG’s Chairman and CEO, He Xiaopeng, emphasized the shift in defining premium vehicles in the AI era. Unlike traditional vehicles where luxury was defined by features and design, XPENG sees true premium quality as inseparable from intelligent technology. This is a significant pivot to cater to the evolving needs of modern drivers, ensuring AI-enhanced driving becomes the standard in future vehicles.
Built-In Turing AI Driving System
The P7+ is the world’s first vehicle to feature built-in AI-powered advanced ADAS across all models, utilizing XPENG’s XOS 5.4 and AI Hawkeye Visual Solution. This system combines two 8M cameras, millimeter-wave, and ultrasonic radars, delivering clear and precise vision under a wide range of conditions. XOS 5.4 further enhances interaction capabilities, showing a 53% increase in lane-change success and 155% improvement in detour handling.
XPENG offers model updates and monthly OTA improvements, ensuring the P7+ evolves with no additional subscription fees. This commitment underlines XPENG’s vision of providing seamless upgrades to the driving experience.
Advanced Smart Cockpit
The P7+ smart cockpit features XPENG’s proprietary X-GPT model along with the Qualcomm 8295P cockpit chip, delivering a 50% performance boost. With a 15.6-inch control screen, a 10.25-inch digital display, and an 8-inch rear entertainment screen, the cockpit offers an enhanced multimedia experience for all passengers, showcasing XPENG’s commitment to comfort and in-car connectivity.
Energy Efficiency and Safety
The P7+ stands out for its industry-leading energy efficiency, reaching 10 km per kWh. The achievement is backed by innovations in power management and XPENG’s X-HP 3.0 smart thermal management. These features, combined with OTA updates, aim to optimize the electric driving experience continuously.
Safety is a key aspect of the P7+. XPENG designed the vehicle with a die-cast aluminum body and a 2000 MPa ultra-high-strength cage frame to enhance passenger protection. The P7+ also features seven airbags and 14 active safety features, making it a leader in comprehensive safety.
Spacious Comfort
The P7+ delivers spacious comfort with a blend of SUV-coupe aesthetics and executive sedan practicality. Its 3,000 mm wheelbase and thin battery pack allow for ample rear headroom and a large 725-liter trunk capacity. Interior comfort is elevated with Nappa leather seats, a panoramic sunroof, and a 10-degree rear-seat recline for added luxury.
