Yoshi Mobility, a leading tech-enabled mobility services company, has announced a strategic shift to enhance its sustainability efforts by spinning off its fuel division. The company signed a letter of intent to sell its fleet fueling operation to EZFill Holdings (NASDAQ: EZFL). This divestment will allow Yoshi Mobility to direct its efforts toward electric vehicle (EV) charging, virtual vehicle inspections, and on-site preventative maintenance.

Key Highlights:

  • Divestment of the fuel division to EZFill Holdings to focus on sustainability and the electric future.
  • Emphasis on EV charging solutions for electric and autonomous fleets, virtual vehicle inspections, and on-site maintenance.
  • Proprietary fast-charger development underway, providing emissions-free solutions for fleet operators.
  • Yoshi’s commitment to enhancing sustainable mobility through innovative, tech-enabled services.

Originally founded in 2016 as a direct-to-consumer, mobile fueling business, Yoshi Mobility has evolved significantly since its inception in the Y-Combinator accelerator. The company aims to sharpen its focus on three rapidly growing services: mobile vehicle charging for electric fleets, virtual inspections for fleet partners like Uber and Turo, and on-site preventative maintenance.

Innovation is in our DNA and we are constantly iterating and improving on the solutions that we provide to our fleet partners nationwide,” said Bryan Frist, Yoshi Mobility’s CEO & Co-Founder. “By spinning off our fuel business and focusing all of our energy on solving hair-on-fire problems that fleet owners face, we are meeting the changing needs of enterprise customers while making the future of transportation safer, cleaner, and more sustainable.”

This divestment aligns with Yoshi Mobility’s long-term vision of reducing environmental impact and adapting to the growing demand for green automotive solutions. During the past year, Yoshi has brought its EV charging services to enterprise customers, including major OEMs, autonomous vehicle companies, and rideshare operators. Initial customers include large EV operators managing hundreds of light-duty vehicles, requiring significant energy daily. Yoshi’s services can be deployed within ten days under contract for U.S.-based customers.

“We’re committed to an EV future and believe that we are uniquely positioned to make it a reality,” added Frist. “Our turn-key gap charging solution is already accelerating the adoption of EVs across the country for fleet operators who do not have an easy way to connect to the utility grid to charge their vehicles.”

In addition to its existing charging products, Yoshi Mobility is developing a 240 kW fast-charger on wheels. This innovative solution will be the first fully electric, zero-emission mobile charger in its class, capable of delivering one hundred miles of charge in under ten minutes.

Looking to the future, Yoshi Mobility is focused on building products that tackle tomorrow’s mobility challenges. “We’ve completed millions of vehicle services over the years and have an intimate understanding of the market and what the most pressing obstacles are,” said Frist. “Our team’s collective experience and expertise give us a winning edge as we take on what’s next and continue to deliver high-value, innovative solutions that will advance mobility today and in the years ahead.”
