2024 GMC HUMMER EV 3X Pickup Boosts Electric Range

What’s Happening

GMC has officially announced a significant extension in the electric range for its upcoming 2024 GMC HUMMER EV 3X Pickup. The vehicle now boasts a GM-estimated 381 miles of range on a full charge with the available 24-module battery. This denotes a substantial 26-mile increase over the 2023 model year. Models equipped with the optional Extreme Off-Road Package now offer a GM-estimated 359 miles on a full charge, an improvement of 30 miles from the previous year.

Why It Matters

This improved range is critical for GMC’s target market, which includes daily drivers, off-road adventurers, and long-distance travelers. “The 2024 GMC HUMMER EV 3X Pickup will now drive you further with greater confidence,” affirmed Al Oppenheiser, chief engineer, GMC HUMMER EV. The enhanced driving range symbolizes GMC’s commitment to advancing its all-electric future and sets a new bar for EV pickup performance.

Key Points

In addition to the increased driving range, the 2024 GMC HUMMER EV 3X Pickup features a variety of unique specifications. Its standard offerings include 22-inch wheels, 35-inch All-Terrain tires, 4-Wheel Steer with CrabWalk diagonal drive capability, an Air Ride Adaptive Suspension, and a 0-60 mph acceleration time of approximately 3.5 seconds with the standard battery.

The Extreme Off-Road Package offers additional features such as 18-inch wheels with 35-inch Mud-Terrain tires, front e-locker and rear virtual locking differentials, underbody armor, and up to 18 total camera views. The enhanced package further extends the vehicle’s off-road capabilities and ensures resilience on tough terrains.

Bottom Line

The 2024 GMC HUMMER EV 3X Pickup will go on sale this fall for current reservation holders. The vehicle’s starting price is set at $106,945 without the Extreme Off-Road Package. Production will kick off later this year at GM’s Factory ZERO Assembly Center in Detroit and Hamtramck, Michigan, solidifying GMC’s position as a frontrunner in the all-electric truck market. The increase in range underscores the automaker’s commitment to enhancing the electric driving experience and sets a high standard in the rapidly evolving EV landscape.
