Honda announces the imminent arrival of its first all-electric SUV, the 2024 Honda Prologue, in dealerships this March. Setting a new standard in its class, the Prologue boasts a remarkable EPA range rating of 296 miles on a full charge, elevating it above its competitors in terms of standard driving range.
The Prologue, priced starting at $47,400 (excluding destination charge), is not only a pioneer in Honda’s electric vehicle lineup but also complements its award-winning range of SUVs. It brings together fun-to-drive dynamics, cutting-edge technology, and generous interior space, making it a well-rounded choice for the modern driver.
This all-electric SUV comes with a variety of notable features, including 19-inch aluminum alloy wheels, integrated Google services, wireless compatibility with Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™, and a wireless phone charger. Comfort is not compromised, with the inclusion of a 10-way power driver seat with adjustable lumbar support and heated front seats.

Lance Woelfer, assistant vice president of Honda National Auto Sales, highlighted the Prologue’s role in Honda’s journey towards a zero-emission future. “The Prologue is a great addition to our lineup, our Honda dealer network is ready, and we can’t wait for our customers to get behind the wheel of our first all-electric SUV,” he stated.
The Prologue delivers a sporty and comfortable driving experience, thanks to its advanced electric vehicle platform and multi-link suspensions. The two-wheel drive models feature a single motor with 212 hp and 236 lb.-ft. of torque. The Prologue Elite, however, steps up the game with an all-wheel-drive dual motor system, offering an impressive 288 hp and 333 lb.-ft. of torque.
Charging the Prologue is efficient and flexible, with DC fast charging capabilities allowing up to 150 kW. Honda’s comprehensive charging solutions include credits across multiple networks in the United States, with options tailored to fit the lifestyle of every buyer.
New Prologue customers can select from three charging packages, included in the MSRP, which range from public charging credits to home charging station and installation credits. Electrify America also offers 60 kWh of complimentary public charging for first-time Honda EV owners.
