Kia America has announced pricing for the refreshed 2026 Sportage Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV), introducing upgraded features and improved power. The new models blend sophisticated design, advanced driver assistance systems, and premium cabin technology, strengthening Kia’s competitive stance in the hybrid SUV market.

The 2026 Sportage PHEV adopts Kia’s “Opposites United” design philosophy, featuring LED star map lighting and distinctive amber daytime running lights for a confident and refined look. Inside, the X-Line Prestige trim offers a premium experience with leather-trimmed seating, ambient lighting, and sleek accent trim resistant to smudging.

Both AWD variants feature a 1.6-liter turbo gasoline direct injection engine paired with a 72 kW electric motor, delivering 268 horsepower—a 7 HP increase from the previous model. The 6-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters and Multi-Terrain Mode AWD support robust performance across driving conditions.
The 2026 Sportage PHEV also includes Stop Assist Control (SAC) with full-stop capability when holding the left paddle shifter, and active regenerative braking adapting to road conditions for efficiency.
Advanced Driver Assistance Systems
Standard safety features include Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist with Pedestrian, Cyclist, and Car Detection, Forward & Reverse Parking Distance Warning, and Hands-On Detection. Upgraded trims offer Highway Driving Assist 2 (HDA2), adjusting speed on controlled-access highways, and Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist 2, detecting vehicles, cyclists, and pedestrians for proactive collision prevention.
