The Kaiyi X7 Hybrid SUV measures 185.4 inches (4,710 mm) long on a 110.2-inch (2,800 mm) wheelbase, according to exterior design details Kaiyi Auto released this week, and the company plans to launch an all-new X7 Plus for global markets in 2027. Since its global premiere in April 2026, the X7 Hybrid has entered markets in Central Asia, Africa, South America, and the Middle East. Kaiyi Auto describes the model as an important part of its overseas business expansion.

Front Lighting and Grille Design
The X7 Hybrid uses what Kaiyi calls a digital light front fascia. Sigma-shaped daytime running lights combine with parametric dot-matrix detailing to form a layered lighting signature. The triangular grille lines reference the peaks of the Kunlun Mountains, and the daytime running lights take their shape from lightning.
The front lighting system supports several functions:
- Automatic beam control: Intelligent switching between high and low beams.
- Delayed shutoff: Lights stay on briefly after the vehicle is turned off.
- Lighting animations: Multiple animation sequences.
Kaiyi X7 Hybrid Dimensions and Aerodynamic Profile
The SUV’s flowing side profile directs air toward the rear, which the company says helps suppress vortices and reduce aerodynamic drag. Kaiyi did not publish a drag coefficient.
Flush, power-retractable door handles keep the body surface clean. According to the company, the handles can break through ice with 44 lbs (20 kg) of force for operation in low temperatures. The SUV rides on 255/50 R20 tires mounted on 20-inch sport wheels.
Full-Width LED Taillights
At the rear, full-width LED taillights form a horizontal light bar that connects to an illuminated rear badge. The bar runs lighting animations when the vehicle is locked or unlocked. Kaiyi says the bar also provides highly visible brake and turn signals to help other road users read the vehicle’s movements.
What Is the Kaiyi X7 Plus?
The X7 Plus is an all-new SUV scheduled to launch for global markets in 2027. Kaiyi says it will be offered in gasoline and hybrid variants and will introduce a new design language and upgraded intelligent comfort features. The company did not release specifications, pricing, or target markets for the X7 Plus.
