The 2026 Subaru Crosstrek Hybrid will feature a next-generation hybrid powertrain, combining a 2.5-liter SUBARU BOXER® engine with electric motors for enhanced efficiency and performance. Designed to maintain Subaru’s legendary off-road capability, the hybrid compact SUV includes Symmetrical All-Wheel Drive and advanced driver-assist technology as standard. The 2026 Subaru Crosstrek Hybrid uses Subaru’s latest series-parallel hybrid system, which seamlessly integrates its 2.5-liter Atkinson/Miller-cycle engine with electric motors. The sealed lithium-ion battery provides 1.1 kWh of capacity, supporting the hybrid’s efficient yet capable performance. Combined with a Lineartronic® CVT, the system delivers improved fuel efficiency without compromising off-road capability.
Advanced Safety and Driver Assistance
Subaru’s latest EyeSight® Driver Assist Technology now features an expanded field of view, enhanced control software, and an electric brake booster. These upgrades allow quicker responses to hazards, such as cyclists and pedestrians. Additional safety options include Blind-Spot Detection, Lane Change Assist, and Rear Cross-Traffic Alert. Emergency Stop Assist is also standard, ensuring added protection during emergencies.
Cutting-Edge Infotainment and Connectivity
The 2026 Crosstrek Hybrid introduces a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster with navigation and compatibility with Apple Maps. The 11.6-inch high-resolution SUBARU STARLINK® touchscreen offers wireless Apple CarPlay® and Android™ Auto integration, over-the-air updates, and SiriusXM services. It serves as a central hub for vehicle, climate, and audio controls.
Bold New Styling and Availability
The Crosstrek Hybrid’s exterior debuts exclusive Sand Dune Pearl and Citron Yellow Pearl colors, along with 18-inch dark gray alloy wheels. Full pricing and specifications will be announced closer to its release in fall 2025.
