2027 Lexus ES Pricing Set, 307-Mile Range Returns

The 2027 Lexus ES carries over unchanged, with pricing set across eight model codes, a 307-mile EPA-estimated range for the ES 350e, and 46 MPG combined for the front-drive ES 350h hybrid.

The 2027 Lexus ES lineup carries over unchanged from its eighth-generation redesign, with the front-wheel-drive ES 350e holding a 307-mile EPA-estimated range rating on standard 19-inch wheels at an MSRP of $49,005. Lexus has set pricing across all eight 2027 ES model codes, covering two battery-electric variants and front- and all-wheel-drive versions of the ES 350h hybrid. The company says the ES 350h is expected to reach dealerships in September with a $49,805 base MSRP. All three powertrains share the multi-pathway platform that Lexus introduced on the 2026 ES, and every model is assembled at the Toyota Motor Kyushu plant in Japan.

Highlights

  • ES 350e: 221-hp single motor, front-wheel drive, 307-mile EPA-estimated range on 19-inch wheels; $49,005

  • ES 350h: 244-hp combined hybrid output, 46 MPG EPA-estimated combined with front-wheel drive; $51,200
  • Shared hardware: 74.7-kWh lithium-ion pack on both BEVs, NACS J3400 charge port, 0.25 drag coefficient

Powertrain and Range Across the 2027 ES Lineup

The battery-electric models draw from a common 74.7-kWh lithium-ion pack mounted in the floor beneath the passenger compartment. The ES 350e uses a single permanent magnet synchronous motor at the front axle; the ES 500e adds a second unit at the rear and runs Lexus’ DIRECT4 torque distribution, which the company says varies front-to-rear split between 100:0 and 0:100 using wheel speed, acceleration, and steering angle inputs.

The ES 350h pairs a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine rated at 186 hp and 173 lb-ft with a motor-generator producing 201 hp and 199 lb-ft, routed through an electronically controlled CVT. All-wheel-drive hybrids add a 54-hp e-Axle at the rear, with an effective torque split ranging from 100:0 to 20:80.

Optional 21-inch wheels reduce range on both BEVs — to 292 miles on the ES 350e and 272 miles on the ES 500e. The hybrid’s full EPA-estimated ratings are 48 MPG city and 44 MPG highway with front-wheel drive, and 47/42 with all-wheel drive.

How Fast Does the 2027 ES Charge?

Both BEV models carry a North American Charging System (NACS) J3400-style port behind a power-operated door on the passenger-side front fender. Lexus includes a CCS (J1772)-to-NACS adapter with every ES BEV, which the company says makes the sedan compatible with more than 76,000 Level 2 and Level 3 public stations nationwide.

Under ideal conditions, the 11-kW onboard AC charger completes a Level 2 charge in about seven hours, and Level 3 charging from 10 to 80 percent takes roughly 28 minutes at speeds up to 150 kW. Battery Preconditioning adjusts pack temperature ahead of a charging stop and can be triggered from the touchscreen or automatically when a public charger is set as a destination through Cloud Navigation. Plug & Charge is available with an active Remote Connect subscription. The smoother front-end treatment on the BEV models, which uses minimal apertures, contributes to a 0.25 drag coefficient.

Cabin Technology and Safety Content

Every 2027 ES includes a 12.3-inch driver Multi-Information Display and a 14.0-inch touchscreen running the latest Lexus Interface, with over-the-air software updates and an integrated Drive Recorder. Lexus Safety System+ 4.0 is standard across the lineup and includes Risk Avoidance Emergency Steer Assist, Intersection Turn Assist, and Proactive Driving Assist. Traffic Jam Assist, which provides hands-free steering assistance in low-speed limited-access traffic and can bring the vehicle to a stop and resume, is standard on Luxury and Premium+ trims and available on Premium.

Wavelength and Copper Crest join the ES color palette alongside Caviar, Ultra White, Cloudburst Gray, and Iridium.
