ChargeLab has launched the beta version of Spark™, an AI-powered suite designed to enhance EV charger reliability and maintenance. Spark™ leverages artificial intelligence and machine learning to monitor EV chargers proactively, ensuring their functionality across different brands and models. This solution aims to identify potential network issues before they impact EV drivers, streamlining the maintenance process for large charging networks.

Key Highlights:

  • Proactive monitoring: Spark™ identifies charging network issues before they escalate.
  • New Analyze with Spark™ feature: Allows easy access through the ChargeLab dashboard for in-depth charger diagnostics.
  • Targeted users: Ideal for network operations specialists managing large EV charging networks.
  • Beta expansion: Spark™ advances from alpha to beta, making it accessible to more customers.

Spark™ AI was initially introduced in September 2023, undergoing alpha development to refine its capabilities. The latest beta version expands user access and adds the Analyze with Spark™ button on the ChargeLab dashboard. This feature is intended for network operations professionals who deploy and maintain extensive EV charger networks, including those at DC fast-charging stations, turnkey installation firms, and fleet management companies.

An alpha user of Spark™ expressed, “ChargeLab’s AI has completely transformed my role. It saves me hours each week by identifying issues with our network and suggesting ways to resolve them. New features added to the Spark™ suite each month have made it faster, smarter, and more powerful.”

Users can access ChargeLab’s AI insights by navigating to the EV charger page in their dashboard and clicking Analyze with Spark™. This tool is powered by a large language model (LLM), which simplifies complex diagnostic data into clear summaries. This makes it accessible for both technical and non-technical users, enhancing troubleshooting and diagnostic efficiency.

The beta version of Spark™ also includes a Signals tab, which proactively monitors network health to detect potential issues before they arise. By using dynamic pattern recognition on OCPP logs and system events, Spark™ Signals helps specialists take preventive measures, thus reducing downtime and keeping the chargers operational.

Ehsan Mokhtari, CTO of ChargeLab, stated, “We’re excited to introduce Spark™ to a wider set of customers today. These tools were designed to simplify the complex work of managing EV chargers. Spark™ underlines ChargeLab’s dedication to innovation and proactive problem-solving, establishing new standards in EV charger management.”

Spark™ is designed for both novice and expert users, combining ease of use with powerful technical capabilities. Site hosts looking to adopt Spark™ can contact ChargeLab at chargelab.co/contact for more information on migrating their chargers and gaining access to this next-generation solution.
