An Intelligent and Powerful Core

At the heart of the new GLC is the Mercedes-Benz Operating System (MB.OS), an AI-driven “superbrain” that integrates and controls every aspect of the vehicle. This system uses powerful computer chips to learn driver preferences and adapt to conditions in real time, creating a safe and intuitive experience. The GLC will launch with the top-of-the-range GLC 400 4MATIC, which produces 360 kW and offers a preliminary range of up to 713 kilometers. The vehicle’s advanced chip-to-cloud architecture also allows for over-the-air updates, ensuring the GLC remains current for years to come.

A New Era of Design

The electric GLC introduces a new era of distinctive design for the brand. Its exterior features the redesigned, brand-defining chromed grille, which serves as an illuminated high-tech centerpiece. Inside, the design philosophy of Sensual Purity is elevated with the stunning, all-new seamless MBUX HYPERSCREEN. This 39.1-inch screen, the largest in a Mercedes-Benz to date, creates an immersive digital experience. The interior is further enhanced by an optional SKY CONTROL panoramic roof with switchable glass and ambient lighting that illuminates 162 integrated stars. Setting a new standard, Mercedes-Benz also offers an optional Vegan Package, a suite of interior materials certified by The Vegan Society, making it the first car manufacturer to provide an independently certified vegan interior.

Uncompromising Versatility and Space

The all-new electric GLC enhances the model’s renowned versatility. Built on a longer wheelbase, it offers passengers more space than its conventionally powered siblings, with significant increases in legroom and headroom in both the front and rear. For storage, the vehicle provides 570 liters of boot capacity, which expands to 1,740 liters with the rear seats folded down, plus an additional 128 liters in the front trunk (frunk). The GLC is also a capable tower, with the GLC 400 4MATIC model able to pull up to 2.4 tonnes braked. For off-road adventures, the vehicle includes a TERRAIN MODE and a “transparent bonnet” function that provides a virtual view under the front of the vehicle.

An Intuitive Digital Experience

The user experience is defined by the fourth generation of MBUX, which is the first in-car infotainment system to integrate AI from both Microsoft and Google. The MBUX Virtual Assistant interacts naturally, providing detailed responses without needing context repeated. The vehicle welcomes the driver with orchestrated light and sound animations, which continue inside on the MBUX HYPERSCREEN. To enhance well-being, the ENERGIZING COMFORT programs offer an extensive wellness suite with coordinated animations and sounds. Furthermore, the next-generation DIGITAL LIGHT with micro-LED technology provides a larger, brighter, and more efficient lighting field.

Engineered for a Smooth, Efficient Drive

The GLC is engineered for exceptional comfort and agility. Technology from the S-Class, including AIRMATIC air suspension and 4.5-degree rear-axle steering, ensures a supremely smooth ride and remarkable agility. The new One-Box braking system provides a consistent pedal feel while maximizing energy recuperation, generating electricity in over 99 percent of everyday braking scenarios.

Charging is seamless and fast, thanks to the vehicle’s 800-volt architecture. This system allows the GLC to recharge a range of up to 303 kilometers in just ten minutes at a compatible station. The integrated MB.CHARGE Public service includes a reservation function for charging stations, a feature first offered by Mercedes-Benz. The GLC is also equipped with technology for bidirectional charging, enabling it to supply power to a home (V2H) or the grid (V2G).
