Audi has broadened its portfolio of e-mobility offerings with a new enduro-style electric mountain bike (eMTB). This limited-edition bike, powered by Fantic and sporting a livery reminiscent of the Dakar-winning Audi RS Q e-tron, marks Audi’s latest venture into electric-assisted two-wheel mobility. Available through Audi Genuine Accessories, this high-performance eMTB is set for delivery by summer 2024.

Key Highlights:

  • Enduro-Style Design: The Audi eMTB boasts a robust frame, a mix of 29 in. front and 27.5 in. rear wheels, and is designed for versatility and challenging terrains.
  • Advanced Suspension: Features include a coil-sprung Öhlins TTX22m.2 rear shock and an air-sprung Öhlins RXF38 m.2 fork, enhancing the bike’s off-road capabilities.
  • Powerful Drive System: Equipped with a Brose S-MAG 250-watt motor, the bike offers up to 90 Nm of torque and four levels of electrical assistance.
  • High-Tech Components: The bike is fitted with SRAM’s GX rear derailleur, Mavic tubeless-ready wheels, and Vittoria off-road tires suitable for various terrains.

Audi’s venture into electric mountain bikes builds on its heritage in off-road innovation, dating back to the quattro® all-wheel drive that dominated the World Rally Championship in the 1980s. The new Audi eMTB mirrors the design elements of the electrified RS Q e-tron and incorporates the technological prowess Audi is known for.

The eMTB is not only about aesthetic appeal but also about functionality. Its lightweight aluminum frame allows for a relaxed riding position, optimizing control and response on uneven landscapes. Mixed wheel sizes provide the perfect balance between rollover performance and maneuverability in tight corners.

Equipped with a full-suspension setup, the Audi eMTB is adept at handling both paved bike paths and rugged off-road tracks. The inclusion of Öhlins suspension components and substantial travel distance highlight its readiness for extreme conditions.

For power, the eMTB includes a 720-Wh lithium-ion battery integrated within the frame, supporting a range of 12 to 90 miles depending on the usage conditions. Riders can select from Eco, Tour, Sport, and Boost modes to match their riding style with the necessary power assistance.

Availability and Accessories Priced at $9,795, the Audi eMTB can be ordered with an array of Audi-branded accessories like gloves, jerseys, and bike racks for enhanced functionality and style. Prospective buyers are encouraged to visit the AudiUSA website or inquire through Audi Genuine Accessories for more details on this premium eMTB.
