IRVINE, Calif. – B-ON, an electric vehicle (EV) solutions provider, has partnered with Karma Automotive, a US-based producer of luxury EVs. B-ON will produce its fully electric light commercial vehicles (eLCVs) at Karma’s facility in California starting this year.
Pre-production for the initial run of delivery truck vehicles for B-ON is set to begin in July 2023 at Karma’s ISO certified 555,000 sq ft Innovation and Customization Center (KICC). The facility has a capacity to produce up to 30,000 vehicles annually and will run a full-scale production starting from 2024.
According to Stefan Krause, Founder, Chairman, and CEO of B-ON, demand for their electric light commercial vehicles is expected to outstrip production capacity in Germany alone. The partnership with Karma’s facility in California will allow B-ON to address the booming North and South American markets while also having access to Karma’s world-class workforce and capabilities.
