Beachman Launches Aviator Electric Café Racer Lineup

Beachman has launched the Aviator, an electric café racer offered as a Class 2 e-bike, a light motorcycle, and a premium model arriving this fall, starting at $5,499.

Beachman has introduced the Aviator, a new electric café racer that launches across North America this summer in three configurations, starting at $5,499. Beachman Bikes, the Canadian manufacturer behind the model, offers the lineup as a Class 2 e-bike, a light motorcycle, and a premium 125cc-equivalent variant arriving later this fall, all built on a new unified frame. The company says it is Canada’s newest licensed motorcycle manufacturer in more than a decade and is now fulfilling more than 150 preorders before moving into full production.

Highlights

  • The Aviator launches in three configurations: a Class 2 e-bike from $5,499 USD, a light motorcycle from $5,999 USD, and a premium 125cc-equivalent model later this fall.
  • Both the e-bike and light motorcycle use a removable battery in two options: 2.8 kWh for a stated range of more than 55 miles, or 4.3 kWh for more than 80 miles.
  • Top speeds run from 20 mph (e-bike, on-road) to 45 mph (light motorcycle), with the fall model targeting roughly 60 mph and more than 125 miles of range.
  • A redesigned tank adds about two gallons of lockable storage plus a USB-C charging port, and Beachman is fulfilling more than 150 preorders ahead of full production.

Three Configurations

The Aviator shares vintage café-racer styling across the range while splitting into distinct regulatory classes. The e-bike serves as the entry point, the light motorcycle adds speed and a higher load rating, and a premium model is set to follow this fall. The structure echoes the multi-trim approach Beachman used for its earlier ’64 Street Spec café racer.

The Aviator E-Bike carries a Class 2 rating with an on-road top speed of 20 mph and an off-road top speed of 35 mph, and is rated for up to 300 pounds. It can also be registered as a 50cc moped. The Light Motorcycle reaches a top speed of 45 mph and is rated for up to 350 pounds; as a licensed motorcycle, it requires registration, plates, insurance, and a valid motorcycle license.

Beachman has also detailed a premium 125cc-equivalent configuration for later this fall, positioned for both city commuting and highway travel. According to the company, it will use a larger fixed 8.2 kWh battery and an 8 kW motor, with a top speed of approximately 60 mph and an estimated range of more than 125 miles.

Storage and Frame Design

Every Aviator is built on Beachman’s new unified frame architecture, which the company says improves durability, ride stability, comfort, and battery security. The redesigned tank uses the space normally taken by a fuel tank for roughly two gallons of integrated, lockable storage, and a USB-C port can charge phones and other devices on the move.

“One of the biggest benefits of the new frame design is the built-in storage,” said Ben Taylor, Co-Founder of Beachman. “On a traditional gas motorcycle, that space is occupied by the fuel tank. With the Aviator, we were able to turn it into a lockable two-gallon storage compartment that’s perfect for gloves, snacks, groceries, or whatever you need for the ride. It’s one of those practical features that make everyday riding a lot more enjoyable without needing saddlebags or a backpack.”

Riders can personalize the bike with five stock color options, custom tank wraps, leather seat upgrades, handlebars, grips, and saddlebags, with Beachman planning additional options through 2027. The approach builds on the brand’s existing café-racer range, including the ’64 E-Bike.

Safety and Security

The Aviator includes brake lights, turn signals, a headlight, mirrors, side reflectors, and a horn. Its battery sits behind a panel inside the tank and is secured with a double-locking mechanism, while an integrated 45-degree handlebar lock is designed to make the motorcycle difficult to move when engaged. The bike is built to carry two riders.

Beachman positions the Aviator around simplicity rather than app-based controls. “The Aviator delivers a level of confidence out on the road that is more motorcycle than e-bike,” added Taylor. “At Beachman, our goal has always been to build beautiful machines that inspire people to get outside, explore their surroundings, and enjoy their ride. The Aviator embodies that philosophy by combining thoughtful craftsmanship with powerful modern electric technology that feels approachable for new riders and rewarding for experienced ones.”

Pricing and Availability

The Aviator E-Bike starts at $5,499 USD and the Aviator Light Motorcycle at $5,999 USD, both built to order. The premium 125cc-equivalent model is set to arrive later this fall.
