BMW Unveils High-Performance EV with Unique Paint Finishes

Munich – BMW has launched its first electrified high-performance vehicle, the BMW XM. The vehicle is an exceptional phenomenon on the world’s roads due to its powerful presence and unique design language. The BMW XM fascinates with its extrovert appearance, as well as its innovative 480 kW/653 hp M HYBRID drive. It has a fuel consumption of 1.6 – 1.5 l/100 km in the WLTP cycle, electric power consumption of 30.1 – 28.9 kWh/100 km in the WLTP cycle, and CO2 emissions combined of 36 – 33 g/km in the WLTP cycle.

The BMW XM offers a range of additional options for expressing the personal style of its owner. The special paintwork from BMW Individual, available from April 2023, allows owners to customize the BMW XM’s look and emphasize its unmistakable character.

The company’s plant in Spartanburg also increases flexibility in the painting process, making Individual special paint finishes available for the plug-in hybrid model. The new body colors include Urban Green, Petrol Mica metallic, Anglesey Green metallic, and Sepia metallic, all of which enhance the extravagant charisma of the BMW XM with a particularly individual touch.

The individual special paint finishes are as exclusive as they are expressive, emphasizing the design language for the exterior of the BMW XM. Generous surfaces, dynamically flowing lines, and sharp edges characterize the vehicle’s design. All special paint finishes undergo a separate manufacturing process with an increased proportion of manual work. The finishes boast impressive color depth and maximum brilliance, thanks to their particularly precise surface treatment and careful finish.
