The total retail value of the trucks is approximately $500,000.
Key Highlights:
- First Bollinger B4 deliveries to the West Coast, reaching TEC Equipment’s dealerships.
- 158-kWh battery pack in each truck for enhanced capability and safety.
- Federal and state tax incentives offer savings of over $100,000 per vehicle.
- TEC Equipment, a family-owned dealership, plays a key role in expanding Bollinger’s reach.
The Bollinger B4 Chassis Cab is an all-electric Class 4 commercial truck specifically designed with input from fleet operators and upfitters. Its unique chassis configuration ensures the protection of the 158-kilowatt-hour battery pack and critical components, delivering top-tier performance and safety within the commercial vehicle market.
“The West Coast represents a critical region of the country for electric vehicle success, and today’s deliveries to TEC Equipment are significant steps forward for Bollinger Motors,” said Jim Connelly, chief revenue officer for Bollinger Motors. “TEC Equipment is a well-respected dealer and an important partner for our West Coast success. We look forward to working with them to build the Bollinger Motors presence in several markets.”
The 2025 Bollinger B4 Chassis Cab qualifies for federal clean vehicle tax credits of up to $40,000 per vehicle under the Inflation Reduction Act, with additional state incentives potentially increasing total savings to over $100,000. This substantial financial support makes Bollinger’s electric truck a viable option for companies looking to modernize their fleet.
TEC Equipment, founded in 1976 and headquartered in Portland, Oregon, is a family-owned dealership with over 30 locations across eight states. The company offers a broad range of services, including truck and trailer sales, parts, service, leasing, rental, and ZEV consulting. This collaboration with Bollinger represents a significant step forward for TEC in bringing cutting-edge electric trucks to the market.
“This is an exciting moment for TEC Equipment as we help bring the newest OEM in the trucking industry to market,” said Chris Thompson, TEC Equipment’s vice president of truck sales. “Bollinger Motors is making an all-electric truck that is well suited to help companies meet their commercial fleet needs and we are looking forward to bringing it to current and new customers up and down the West Coast.”
Bollinger Motors has achieved several significant milestones recently, including its production launch on September 16 and regulatory certifications such as CARB certification, FMVSS compliance, and the Certificate of Conformity from the Environmental Protection Agency. The company has secured numerous fleet sales agreements, including deals with Momentum Group (145 vehicles), Doering Fleet Management (70 vehicles), and EnviroCharge (50 vehicles). Additionally, Bollinger Motors has expanded its dealership network, bringing in TEC Equipment, Affinity Truck Center, Nacarato Truck Centers, Nuss Truck & Equipment, and LaFontaine Automotive Group as authorized dealers and service centers.
The company has also partnered with Our Next Energy to supply battery packs and has established Syncron as its warranty administration partner and Amerit Fleet Solutions as its mobile service provider, ensuring top-notch after-sales support for its customers.
