Otovo, InCharge Partner on EV Charging Maintenance

Otovo and InCharge Energy will resell each other's preventive maintenance plans, giving U.S. commercial sites one service relationship for solar, battery storage, and EV charging, starting in four states.

Otovo and InCharge Energy have formed a service partnership that gives U.S. commercial customers a single service relationship for solar, battery storage, and EV charging equipment, drawing on a combined base of more than 100,000 energy assets. Otovo, an Oslo-listed behind-the-meter energy services company, and InCharge Energy, a national EV charging installation and maintenance provider, are launching the program in California, Arizona, Texas, and Florida. The companies say they plan to launch in additional states by the end of 2026.

Highlights

  • Combined footprint: The two companies’ service offerings span more than 100,000 energy assets, according to the release.
  • Launch markets: California, Arizona, Texas, and Florida, with more states planned by the end of 2026.
  • InControl scale: InCharge’s platform connects and supports more than 40,000 EV charging assets across more than 1,060 completed infrastructure projects.
  • 2025 service record: InCharge completed more than 24,000 support cases and resolved about 80% of charger issues remotely, the company reports.

How Will the Otovo-InCharge Partnership Work?

In each launch market, each company will resell the other’s preventive maintenance plans and keep its own customer relationship. Each company sends its own technicians to the work it takes on. Both companies continue to sell and perform work under their own brands, and they have matched their pricing on the reciprocal plans.

Work orders pass directly between the two companies. On the Otovo side, the company’s Endurance AI platform handles intake, dispatch, and scheduling. Otovo says a job that starts with either company is logged, dispatched, and closed against one record of the site.

“We built this partnership around a simple idea: a customer shouldn’t need multiple vendors just because their energy assets came from different systems,” said William J. (John) Berger, Chief Executive Officer of Otovo. “By joining forces on commercial energy service, we can seamlessly integrate work orders through Endurance™, giving customers one call and one relationship instead of separate vendors and contracts for every system on site.”

Service Scale Behind the Agreement

The companies report the following operating figures:

  • Otovo customers: More than 60,000 currently serviced.
  • InCharge platform: InCharge’s InControl software platform connects and supports more than 40,000 EV charging assets and maintained 99.99% uptime in 2025, according to the company.
  • InCharge field network: More than 100 field service staff, with coverage in every U.S. state and Canadian province.
  • Regional offices: Sales and service offices in Los Angeles, California; Richmond, Virginia; and Fort Worth, Texas.

The companies say this scale supports their plans to expand the partnership into new markets.

Single Contract for Multi-Asset Commercial Sites

According to the release, the partnership targets a structural gap at commercial sites with several energy assets. A property with rooftop solar, battery storage, EV chargers, and a backup generator typically has a separate contract, response commitment, and point of contact for each one.

“Technology alone doesn’t keep critical energy infrastructure operating – it takes highly-skilled people in the field,” said Rich Mohr, Chief Executive Officer of InCharge Energy. “Otovo and InCharge have both made significant investments in technical talent and electrical field service capabilities, and we will continue to invest as these systems become more critical to our customers’ operations. By utilizing InControl™ and Endurance™ together, we can bring better asset intelligence to our field teams and enable a more proactive approach to how EV charging, solar, battery storage and supporting electrical infrastructure are managed and maintained.”
