Bollinger Inks Deal for FedEx Routes

Bollinger Innovations signs a new agreement with Ariel Fleet Holdings to supply 34 commercial electric vehicles for FedEx Independent Service Providers in North Carolina and Virginia for last-mile deliveries.

Bollinger Innovations, an electric vehicle manufacturer, has signed a significant agreement with Ariel Fleet Holdings to supply commercial electric vehicles (EVs). The deal will provide 34 EVs to Advanced Logistics Systems (ALS) and Springbok Holdings, both Independent Service Providers (ISPs) for FedEx Corporation.

Partnership Details

Ariel Fleet Holdings, based in Huntersville, North Carolina, will facilitate the deployment and evaluation of the Mullen THREE and Mullen ONE commercial EVs. These vehicles are designated as last-mile delivery vehicles for the FedEx ISPs operating in the region.

Jim Connelly, chief revenue officer for Bollinger Motors, a Bollinger Innovations company, stated that the vehicles are zero-emission and deliver powerful performance capable of handling demanding tasks. He expressed confidence that the EVs will provide significant operational value and looks forward to their performance evaluation with a leading delivery company.

Commitment to Sustainable Logistics

Matthew Fuhr, president of Advanced Logistics Systems and a partner in Ariel Fleet Holdings with Garth Mulroy, described the Mullen THREE and Mullen ONE as “dynamic” commercial electric vehicles ideal for various fleet applications. Both Fuhr and Mulroy are committed to advancing sustainable transportation solutions. They aim to establish a viable business model where EVs play a crucial role in daily last-mile logistics, benefiting their partners while reducing the overall carbon footprint.

Advanced Logistics Systems and Springbok Holdings are focused on converting fleets to electric vehicles to promote sustainability and lower vehicle operating costs. ALS has worked with Virginia Clean Cities since 2022 to encourage EV rollouts and was awarded a Department of Energy grant for an EV fleet deployment in Fredericksburg, Virginia.

Bollinger’s Commercial EV Lineup

The commercial EV lineup from Bollinger Innovations includes several models designed for specific needs:

  • Mullen ONE: A Class 1 urban delivery EV cargo van.
  • Mullen THREE: A Class 3 urban utility EV cab chassis truck built for last-mile delivery.
  • Bollinger B4 Chassis Cab: An all-electric Class 4 commercial truck developed with fleet and upfitter input.

Bollinger Innovations is a Southern California-based company with a U.S. vehicle manufacturing facility in Tunica, Mississippi. Its commercial dealer network includes six dealers providing sales and service coverage in key markets.

All vehicles are available for sale in the U.S. and are in full compliance with U.S. Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards.
