Bollinger Motors, a pioneering name in the electric vehicle (EV) industry, has officially launched the design validation pilot builds of its all-electric B4 Class 4 chassis cabs. The manufacturing process for these pilot vehicles has started in collaboration with Roush Industries, Inc., at their facility in Livonia, Michigan. The project anticipates the completion of the first five chassis cabs this summer, with plans for an additional 15 or more vehicles by the end of the third quarter in 2023.

- Bollinger Motors will conduct demonstrations of the initial pilot builds from September 12 -22 at Mcity, a renowned testing and demonstration facility on the University of Michigan’s North Campus in Ann Arbor, Michigan. These demonstrations will be held for invited key prospects and partners.
- The firm has involved several upfitting partners to ready the chassis cabs with a variety of options, aiming to accommodate the diverse requirements of potential fleet customers.
- “Our Class 4 Bollinger B4 truck has been purposefully designed for fleets, offering them limitless upfit options. Our nationwide service network will be announced shortly,” mentioned Jim Connelly, the Chief Revenue Officer of Bollinger Motors.
- As per the Inflation Reduction Act of 2022, the Bollinger B4 is eligible for a nationwide federal purchasing incentive. This incentive includes 30% of the vehicle’s cost, capped at $40,000. The deliveries of the Bollinger B4 are set to start in July 2024.
