BYD UK and Arval UK have teamed up to launch BYD Lease, a new service that makes BYD’s electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles more accessible to customers across the United Kingdom. This partnership highlights BYD’s rapid rise in the UK market, where it saw a 658% increase in sales volume in 2024, alongside an expanded lineup of models and a growing network of retail locations. The collaboration with Arval UK, a leader in vehicle leasing, aims to simplify access to sustainable transportation options for UK drivers.

The launch of BYD Lease marks a significant milestone for BYD UK, which has been on an upward trajectory since entering the market in March 2023. In just under two years, the company increased its sales to over 8,700 vehicles in 2024, driven by popular models like the ATTO 3 and the upcoming SEALION 7. This growth is mirrored by its expanding presence, with retail locations multiplying to meet rising demand for electric and hybrid options.
Executives from both companies expressed optimism about the partnership. Steve Beattie, Sales & Marketing Director at BYD UK, stated: “The introduction of BYD Lease is a big step for our growth in the UK. As one of the top leasing companies in the UK, we’re very happy to be partnering with Arval to make it even easier for our customers to choose BYD. 2024 was a really successful year for BYD, with the launch of first plug-in hybrid and hitting our 10,000th sale – in less than two years.”
