Evolutionary Design Delivers Increased Practicality

The 2026 BYD SEAL features subtle enhancements to its OCEAN design. New 19-inch wheels give it a more assertive stance. Three new exterior colors join the lineup: Ruby Red, Obsidian Black and Lavender Grey. They supplement Polar White, Indigo Grey and Atlantis Grey.

Rear design updates place the BYD logo top and center above the full width LED light bar. The SEAL designation sits to the bottom right of the trunk lid.

Inside, seats use soft Nappa leather upholstery. Headrests adopt a clean design without the previous BYD logo. The center armrest keeps its functionality without the NFC logo.

Storage capacity increases. The trunk grows to 485 liters from 400 liters and includes tethering hooks. A standard powered tailgate provides access.

The front storage area expands by 19 liters to 72 liters under the hood. It can hold charging cables or a carry-on suitcase. This maximizes utility within the 4.8-meter footprint.

On-Board Technology More Comprehensive Than Ever

On-board technology receives boosts for 2026. The Driver Monitoring System detects driver attention to comply with latest safety standards. A new Bluetooth key enables smartphone keyless entry.

The Design trim comes with LED headlights featuring High Beam Assistant. It also has a panoramic glass roof, Dynaudio 12-speaker sound system and two 15-watt wireless charging trays. Front seats offer electric adjustment, heating and ventilation. A fixed 15.6-inch high-definition touchscreen is standard.

The Excellence trim adds a head-up display to this specification.

Design variants employ a single rear-wheel drive motor. Output is 308 bhp and 360 Nm of torque for a 0-62 mph time of 5.9 seconds. Both achieve a limited top speed of 112 mph.
