Citing the INRIX 2025 Global Traffic Scorecard, SOUEAST notes that Mexico City ranks among the world’s most congested cities, with drivers losing an average of 108 hours to congestion. In that setting, the S06 DM accelerates from 0 to 62 mph (0–100 km/h) in 7.9 seconds and carries an NEDC pure-electric range of up to 71 miles (114 km) — enough, the company says, to cover daily urban mobility without using fuel. NEDC figures are not directly comparable to EPA ratings and typically run optimistic against US test protocols.
What Range Does the System Offer for Intercity Travel?
For markets where charging infrastructure is thin, SOUEAST points to the S08 DM’s combined range of more than 621 miles (1,000 km) and fuel consumption of about 44 mpg (5.3 L/100 km) in charge-depleting mode. The company says a single refueling and charging cycle covers a round trip between Cairo and Red Sea resorts, a route it cites as representative of African intercity travel where highway charging stations are limited.
Thermal tolerance is the second half of that argument. Ground temperatures in parts of Africa can exceed 122°F (50°C) during summer, and SOUEAST reports that its stepless electric hybrid DHT operates across what it describes as ultra-wide temperature ranges, holding stable power output in extreme heat or cold.
The “Motorsuite” Seating Package
The S08 DM’s long-distance package centers on the front seats. The driver’s seat offers 8-way adjustment, 4-way electric lumbar support, 11 inches (280 mm) of fore-aft travel, and 100 degrees of backrest recline, combined with four preset seat modes. SOUEAST markets the configuration as a “Motorsuite” experience aimed at extended highway stints.
Taken together, the company describes the C-DM Hybrid System as an integrated architecture designed to deliver both efficiency and power output across driving scenarios rather than optimizing for one at the expense of the other.
