LEPAS Opens First UK Dealership in Wolverhampton

LEPAS has opened its first UK dealership in Wolverhampton, starting a retail rollout targeting more than 60 outlets by the end of 2026 and more than 90 by the end of 2027.

LEPAS has opened its first UK dealership in Wolverhampton, the opening move in a retail rollout the brand expects to reach more than 60 outlets by the end of 2026. Brindley LEPAS began trading this week from a site on West Street, near Molineux Stadium in the heart of the city. LEPAS says a wave of further openings will follow across the country in the coming months.

Highlights

  • Brindley LEPAS in Wolverhampton is the first LEPAS dealership to open in the UK, beating dozens of other sites to trading
  • 60 LEPAS showrooms have already been signed, with more than 60 outlets targeted to be open by the end of 2026
  • Arnold Clark will open seven LEPAS sites and Stoneacre four
  • The Wolverhampton store was prepared in eight weeks and has a six-car indoor showroom plus space for 15 more cars out front

Wolverhampton Beats Dozens of Sites to Open First

Brindley LEPAS beat out dozens of competing dealerships to be the first in the network to open its doors. By the end of 2027, LEPAS is targeting more than 90 outlets nationwide, a footprint the brand says would leave the vast majority of the UK population no more than half an hour from a LEPAS retail and service center.

Ray Wang, Managing Director of LEPAS UK, said: “The opening of Brindley LEPAS in Wolverhampton represents a major milestone in our brand’s journey in this country. It’s been great to see the friendly competition taking place among our new retail partners as they all pulled out all the stops to try to be the first to open.”

“Huge congratulations to the Brindley team who did an incredible job getting everything up and running in just eight weeks.”

Which Dealer Groups Have Signed On?

Among the 60 showrooms already signed, several of the UK’s biggest dealer groups are in the process of opening multiple LEPAS sites:

  • Arnold Clark — seven LEPAS sites
  • Stoneacre — four LEPAS sites

LEPAS says this level of investment reflects industry confidence in the brand and its product roadmap.

Showroom and Service Setup

The Wolverhampton dealership has a six-car indoor showroom finished in the LEPAS global retail design identity, with room for a further 15 cars on the lot out front. The site also runs a full servicing and after-sales operation with dedicated LEPAS service bays and manufacturer-trained technicians.

Early Demand for the L8 PHEV

Gavin Everton, Sales Manager, said: “A huge amount of work went into getting the new dealership up and running and we’re really excited to be the first LEPAS outlet in the UK to open.”

He added: “Even before we opened the doors we had received a huge amount of interest in the new LEPAS L8 and had taken a number of pre-orders. But on opening day we were amazed by how many people walked in and placed orders. I believe we now top the charts for the most L8 PHEV pre-orders nationwide.”

What Comes Next for LEPAS in the UK

The Wolverhampton opening lands ahead of the brand’s official UK launch. LEPAS is a new energy vehicle brand from Chery Auto, which operates in the UK as Chery International, and the L8 plug-in hybrid spearheads the UK range, with the L6 and L4 to follow.
