What’s Happening:
Cenntro Electric Group Limited, a leading player in the EV and alternative fuel technology space, is scheduled to debut its newest electric vehicle, the Logimax 650 (LM650), at the WasteExpo 2023. The event, known as North America’s largest gathering for the solid waste, recycling, organics, and sustainability industry, will occur from May 1 to 4 at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in New Orleans.
Why It Matters:
The unveiling of the LM650 is significant as it represents Cenntro’s commitment to providing a diverse portfolio of zero-emission vehicles. The LM650, a Class 6 Truck powered entirely by electricity, is designed for intracity and short-haul applications, broadening the options for sustainable transport in urban environments.
Key Points:
The LM650 is a medium-sized truck with a total weight of 12 tons. Its electric motors draw power from a 218-kWh lithium-ion phosphate battery pack, promising a range of up to 155 miles. In addition to its impressive mileage, the LM650 can also be DC fast-charged in as little as 1.5 hours, offering both efficiency and convenience to its users.
Cenntro’s Chairman and CEO, Peter Wang, expressed excitement over the LM650’s debut at the WasteExpo 2023. He noted the company’s mission to offer customers diverse choices for zero-emission, quiet, and sustainable vehicles. Wang emphasized that Cenntro’s ability to deliver a full product line of all-electric commercial vehicles from Class 1 to Class 8 positions the brand optimally to respond to the surging demand for eco-friendly vehicles.
Bottom Line:
The LM650 will be showcased alongside Cenntro’s upfit partner, Robostreet, at the Robostreet booth #5053 at WasteExpo 2023. In addition to the LM650, Robostreet will also display a Cenntro LS400 upfit as a 6 to 8 cubic yard electric refuse truck fitted with a sealed hopper and crusher panel to prevent debris fallout. These innovative electric vehicles are poised to revolutionize municipal waste and recycling operations, making them ideal for cities and municipalities, transit authorities, airports and seaports, and even amusement parks, malls, and educational and sports facilities. With its expanding electric vehicle offerings, Cenntro Electric continues to lead the charge towards sustainable urban mobility.
