ChangAn Automobile has officially launched its CHANG-AN, DEEPAL, and AVATR brands in Europe, signaling a significant expansion of its global electric vehicle (EV) strategy. The company’s “Vast Ocean Plan” emphasizes technological innovation and sustainability, aiming to solidify ChangAn’s presence in the European market through a comprehensive ecosystem. This initiative includes investments in research, production, supply chain, sales, and operations, with a focus on meeting the growing demand for intelligent and sustainable mobility solutions.

The company’s strategic approach to the European market involves a phased expansion, beginning with key EV markets and culminating in a comprehensive presence across all major European markets by 2028. The European Headquarters in the Netherlands will serve as the central hub for business operations, while the sales headquarters in Munich, Germany, will drive sales and marketing efforts. ChangAn’s commitment to local talent is demonstrated by its employment of approximately 500 professionals across Europe, including experienced designers and engineers from Italy and the UK.
Chairman Zhu Huarong emphasized ChangAn’s mission to lead sustainable mobility and benefit human life, stating, “This year, we aim to achieve three million units in global sales, and one million will be electrified vehicles.
