Clever and PowerGo Boost EV Charging in Denmark

Clever and PowerGo have launched a new partnership that promises to enhance the electric vehicle (EV) experience for drivers in Denmark. As of today, Clever One customers can tap into PowerGo’s extensive charging network across the country without incurring extra fees. This collaboration aims to optimize Denmark’s charging infrastructure, making it simpler and more convenient for EV owners to power up on the go.

Key Highlights

  • Clever One customers gain access to PowerGo’s charging network in Denmark.
  • The network features nearly 1,000 charging points, including 65 fast and ultra-fast chargers.
  • The partnership focuses on improving Denmark’s charging infrastructure efficiency.
  • Customers can use Clever’s app and charging tag at all PowerGo stations.
  • The agreement begins on May 26, 2025.

This deal opens up nearly 1,000 charging points to Clever One customers, with 65 fast and ultra-fast chargers—including 14 ultra-fast units at Lillebælt Syd delivering up to 400 kW. These stations are spread across urban centers, rural areas, and key hubs, offering EV drivers flexibility no matter where they are. Whether near cities, along highways, or in smaller villages, charging is now more accessible than ever.

Mathias Langkilde Sukstorf, Head of Strategic Partnerships at Clever, shared his excitement:

“Our goal is to make EV driving easy, safe, and flexible in Denmark. Partnering with PowerGo adds around 1,000 new charging points to our network, available to Clever One customers at no extra cost. This expands our reach and gives drivers more options to charge wherever they are.”

Paul Sieljes, Head of Operations at PowerGo, echoed this sentiment:

“This partnership with Clever aligns with our mission to push green mobility forward. We’re making sustainable charging simple and efficient, enhancing the EV experience across Denmark.”

The agreement covers all current and future PowerGo chargers in Denmark, seamlessly integrated with Clever’s app and tag system.

About the Companies

Clever, Denmark’s top charging operator, manages over 49,000 charging points nationwide. It’s owned by energy cooperatives Andel (94.9%) and NRGi (5.1%). PowerGo, operating in seven European countries, oversees 1,700 charging points, with plans to install over 1,600 more in Denmark alone. A subsidiary of PowerField, PowerGo powers its stations with solar energy from PowerField’s parks.

This partnership is a big win for Denmark’s EV drivers, supporting a greener, more connected future.
