CUPRA has disclosed technical specifications for the Raval, a compact electric urban vehicle set to launch in 2026. This pre-series reveal highlights the first model to launch from the brand’s Electric Urban Car Family, a project overseen by the Martorell facility.
Highlights
- Market launch scheduled for 2026 with an estimated entry price of €26,000.
- Built on Volkswagen’s MEB+ platform featuring front-wheel drive.
- Top-tier VZ Extreme model offers 166kW output and approximately 400km range.
- Production will take place in Martorell alongside the Volkswagen ID. Polo.

Platform and Engineering
The Raval utilizes Volkswagen’s MEB+ platform and features a front-wheel-drive configuration. The vehicle measures 4,046 mm in length and possesses a wheelbase of 2,600 mm, categorizing it as a compact urban car.
Engineers designed the vehicle with a sport chassis that sits 15mm lower than the standard platform. The suspension setup includes progressive steering to enhance agility.
Dynamic Chassis Control (DCC) utilizes adaptive shock absorbers to adjust dampening based on driving conditions. In CUPRA mode, these dampers stiffen to reduce body lean.
Performance Specifications
The VZ Extreme version represents the top performance tier for the model. It features a 166kW (226PS) output and generates 290Nm of maximum torque.
Key technical data for the VZ Extreme includes:
- Max Speed: 175 km/h
- Battery Range: Around 400 km
- Width: 1,784 mm
- Height: 1,518 mm
This variant includes an electronic differential and wider track width, measuring 10mm wider than the standard platform. The braking system utilizes a ‘one box’ electronic setup to optimize pedal feel and energy recovery, supported by front and rear disc brakes.

Launch Editions and Trims
CUPRA confirmed three exclusive launch editions for the Raval. Each variant offers distinct powertrain and equipment configurations to address specific market needs.
VZ Extreme (166kW) This performance-oriented trim balances power with sustainability. It features an electric range of approximately 400km. Standard equipment includes 19-inch wheels with 235mm tires and Dinamica Bucket seats.
Dynamic Plus (155kW) This trim focuses on technology and comfort, offering an extended range of approximately 450km. Features include Matrix LED headlights, bucket seats, and Advanced ADAS.
Dynamic (155kW) The entry-level option shares the 155kW output and 450km range of the Plus model. It is positioned as an accessible entry point to the brand’s lineup.
