- The Dacia Spring features a 26.8 kWh battery with a range of up to 140 miles (WLTP mixed).
- Available in Expression or Extreme trims with notable features like a 7-inch digital cluster, cruise control, and rear parking sensors.
- The handover took place at Martins Dacia in Basingstoke, highlighting Dacia’s customer loyalty.
John Davies ordered the Dacia Spring back in June, unaware that he would be the first customer to get behind the wheel of this affordable new electric car. A long-time Dacia customer, Davies was eager to transition to electric mobility and confidently ordered the Spring without having seen it in person, thanks to his positive experience with Dacia vehicles. Previously, Davies owned a Dacia Sandero Stepway and is currently driving a Dacia Duster, which he plans to replace with an All-New Duster later this year.
The new vehicle, finished in Dusty Khaki and in Extreme trim, marks Davies’ third Dacia purchase. As an existing Dacia customer, he trusted the brand enough to proceed without hesitation. He mentioned, “It’s perfect for commuting to work and will make my journeys cheaper,” demonstrating confidence in the vehicle’s utility and cost-effectiveness.
Chris Swain of Martins Dacia expressed excitement, noting, “The All-New Dacia Spring completely rewrites the EV rulebook. It’s not surprising, then, that it has been winning awards even before it turned a wheel on UK soil. We’re thrilled to be a part of its story now it has finally arrived on UK shores. Given the huge number of enquiries we’ve received about Dacia’s all-electric game-changer, Mr. Davies is going to be the first of many.”
Luke Broad, Dacia Brand Director for the UK, emphasized the importance of this moment for the brand, adding, “This is a real milestone for Dacia, in so many ways. The first all-electric Dacia on UK roads also being the country’s most affordable new electric car is the perfect demonstration of everything we strive for as a brand – to offer customers exceptional value for money in a robust package that offers everything you need and nothing you don’t. We wish Mr. Davies many happy miles of emissions-free motoring.”
The All-New Dacia Spring is designed to make electric mobility accessible to all. It features a 45 hp or 65 hp electric motor paired with a 26.8 kWh battery, providing a driving range of up to 140 miles (WLTP mixed) or 186 miles on the WLTP urban cycle. The DC charging capability enables an 80% charge from flat in less than an hour.
The vehicle is available in two trims – Expression and Extreme – and includes an array of standard features such as a 7-inch digital instrument cluster, cruise control, manual air conditioning, rear parking sensors, Media Control system with USB port, electric front windows, and remote central locking.
Consumers can order the All-New Dacia Spring online at www.dacia.co.uk or through any official Dacia retailer. The starting price for this new electric model is £14,995 on-the-road.
