DS Automobiles has officially unveiled its new flagship model, the DS N°8, an all-electric SUV coupe that marks a significant step in the brand’s electric transition. The vehicle combines a distinctive, aerodynamically efficient design with a luxurious interior and advanced technology, aiming to embody the French art of electric travel. The DS N°8 is now available for order, with international test drives underway.

- Three all-electric powertrain options are available, with power outputs of up to 350 hp and a choice of two- or four-wheel drive.
- Pricing for the new flagship starts at €59,200 and is offered in three distinct trims: PALLAS, ETOILE, and the exclusive JULES VERNE Collection.
- Advanced features include DS ACTIVE SCAN SUSPENSION, DS NIGHT VISION, and a Level 2 semi-autonomous driving system.
Powertrain and Electric Performance
The DS N°8 is built on a versatile platform that supports three 100% electric powertrains. The lineup includes:
- A 230 hp front-wheel-drive model with a 73.7 kWh battery, providing a range of up to 550 km.
- A 245 hp front-wheel-drive Long Range version equipped with a 97.2 kWh battery, achieving the maximum 750 km range.
- A 350 hp all-wheel-drive Long Range model that delivers up to 688 km of range.
All versions feature a temporary power boost for enhanced performance. The high-performance AWD model accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h (0-62 mph) in just 5.4 seconds, while the top speed for all models is electronically limited to 190 km/h.
The vehicle’s charging system is equally impressive. With a DC fast-charging capacity of up to 160 kW, the DS N°8 can gain 200 km of range in just 10 minutes and charge from 20% to 80% in 27 minutes. For home use, an 11 kW onboard charger is standard.
Technology and Dynamic Serenity
The driving experience is designed to be serene and intuitive, supported by a suite of advanced technologies. The DS ACTIVE SCAN SUSPENSION uses a camera to analyze the road ahead and adjust the dampers in real-time for a smooth ride. For added safety and convenience, DS DRIVE ASSIST 2.0 provides Level 2 semi-autonomous driving, managing lane changes and speed.
Nighttime visibility is enhanced by DS NIGHT VISION, which uses an infrared camera to detect pedestrians and animals up to 300 meters away. Inside the cabin, drivers are greeted by a 12.25-inch instrument cluster, a large 16-inch central touchscreen, and a DS EXTENDED HEAD-UP DISPLAY that projects critical information directly into the driver’s line of sight.
A New Standard in Luxury and Design
Inspired by the DS AERO SPORT LOUNGE concept, the DS N°8 features an avant-garde SUV coupe design with taut lines and a strong focus on aerodynamic efficiency (0.24 Cx). The exterior is highlighted by the DS LUMINASCREEN grille, PIXEL LED VISION 3.0 headlamps, and flush-fitting door handles.
The interior is a refined sanctuary, featuring high-quality materials like olive leaf-tanned Nappa leather, recycled Alcantara®, and marbled aluminum accents. Comfort is paramount, with front seats that are massaging, cooled, heated, and equipped with a DS NECK WARMER. The audio experience is handled by a 14-speaker, 690W ELECTRA® 3D sound system by FOCAL. The vehicle also offers substantial practicality with up to 620 liters of trunk space.
