e.GO and Quimmco Autopartes y Maquinados, S.A. DE C.V. (QUESTUM) cooperate on market entry launch and market test in Mexico
AACHEN, Germany – e.GO, the only independent European electric car manufacturer plans to enter the Mexican market in cooperation with the industrial consortium Grupo Quimmco from Monterrey, Mexico, specifically with QUESTUM, it’s subsidiary company. e.GO is aiming to build a production facility in Mexico. e.GO´s unique 5G-ready micro-factory is perfectly suited not only to serve the growing Mexican market but later also to supply parts to other e.GO facilities in the American continent.
Established to produce one of the most sustainable Battery Electric Vehicles (BEV), e.GO is leveraging its modular and scalable micro-factory. The company has successfully developed a disruptive industry 4.0-based production model (Internet of Production) that significantly lowers the capex requirements and time-to-market, while ensuring highly efficient production with a low break-even point. e.GO’s decentralized production system combined with QUESTUM’s expertise will contribute to the local economy and help create employment opportunities.
