Intelligent power management company Eaton has formed a strategic collaboration with Treehouse to support cost-effective, code-compliant residential electrification projects across the United States. This partnership combines Eaton’s advanced electrical solutions with Treehouse’s AI-driven software and installation capabilities, aiming to accelerate the energy transition at home by incorporating technologies like EV charging, energy storage, and heat pumps.
Key Highlights:
- Preferred Supplier: Eaton will become the preferred technology supplier for Treehouse installations, using Eaton’s AbleEdge home energy management ecosystem, Green Motion EV chargers, and other smart home solutions.
- End-to-End Installation Platform: Treehouse’s platform will leverage Eaton’s solutions for efficient scoping, design, and installation, supporting retrofitting and new construction projects.
- Simplified Electrification Process: The collaboration will reduce the barriers to residential electrification, providing consumers with accurate pricing, detailed scopes, and access to licensed electricians.
- Support for Automotive OEMs, Utilities, and More: This partnership is designed to support large-scale electrification programs for automotive OEMs, utilities, and hardware manufacturers.
The collaboration aims to provide homeowners seeking to electrify their properties with transparent pricing and quick access to licensed electricians, ensuring safe and efficient installation processes. By incorporating Eaton’s intelligent hardware solutions, the companies will enable streamlined and scalable residential electrification programs, spanning everything from EV charging systems to energy storage and heat pumps. Treehouse will integrate Eaton’s technology to develop the smartest solutions for each installation, ensuring code compliance and optimal efficiency.
“At Eaton, we’re all in on the energy transition and we’re making it happen at scale by delivering breakout technologies and industry collaborations needed to delight customers and make it more accessible and affordable,” said Paul Ryan, General Manager of Connected Solutions and EV Charging at Eaton. “Treehouse consistently ranks among the highest in customer loyalty and satisfaction, which is vital for Eaton and our joint customers. Advancing the Energy Transition
Eaton’s collaboration with Treehouse also supports its Home as a Grid approach, designed to simplify and expedite residential electrification:
- Efficient Project Management: Leveraging Treehouse’s nationwide network of contractors, this collaboration will make it easier to scope, design, and install electrification projects.
- Supporting Electricians: Eaton’s hardware solutions help electricians complete projects more quickly by reducing the time spent on electrical panel adjustments and minimizing truck rolls.
- Seamless Installation for Multiple Sectors: The initiative will provide turnkey support for automotive OEMs, utilities, and electrification hardware manufacturers, ensuring streamlined installation processes.
“Eaton is both an industry leader and an innovating pioneer in the electrification age,” said Eric Owski, Treehouse CEO. “Our collaboration with Eaton will accelerate our ability to deliver turnkey and cost-effective electrification projects, from EV charging to home energy storage and heat pumps.”
Eaton’s role as the preferred technology supplier means its solutions, including the AbleEdge home energy management ecosystem and Green Motion EV chargers, will be central to Treehouse’s electrification installations. Additionally, the Eaton Certified Contractor Network will benefit from Treehouse’s complete installation platform, covering scoping, design, permitting, and install.
Treehouse provides a software-enabled installation platform for electrification projects, working with partners such as auto retailers, fleet providers, and utilities to expand electrification efforts nationwide. The goal is to deliver seamless installation experiences for customers and scale electrification programs across the country.
