Einride has officially opened the Lynwood Smartcharger Station in Los Angeles, a significant advancement in electric freight mobility. Located strategically near the Ports of Los Angeles and Long Beach, this station boasts 65 chargers and the capability to charge up to 200 vehicles daily. It’s a collaborative effort with Voltera, aiming to facilitate a swift transition to electric freight in a key U.S. trade region.

The Lynwood Smartcharger Station is not only North America’s largest operational charging site for electric heavy-duty freight but also a pivotal step towards enhancing U.S. charging infrastructure. The station is set to officially open to the public in April, symbolizing a major leap in sustainable road freight.

In addition to charging services, the station offers a comfortable waiting area for truck drivers, equipped with amenities and detailed charging information. It’s seamlessly integrated with the Einride Saga operating system, enhancing operational efficiencies through AI-driven insights.
