Electreon is presenting Lite DOT, an 11 kW stationary wireless charging system for passenger cars and light commercial vehicles, for the first time at IAA Transportation in Hannover, Germany, running September 14–20, 2026. The system pairs an above-ground charging pad with a wall-mounted unit and begins charging automatically once a vehicle is parked over the pad, according to Electreon. The company says Lite DOT is built on the same field-tested inductive technology behind its dynamic in-road charging deployments, including the wireless-charging highway on France’s A10.

How Does Lite DOT Charge Without a Cable?
Once a vehicle is parked, the system identifies it and charging starts immediately, with no cable handling. Electreon positions the product for both fleet operators and private users, and states that it also applies to autonomous vehicles.
The system has three components:
- Charging pad, installed above ground on a parking space
- Wall unit, mounted on a garage wall or outdoors on a pole
- Electreon Flow, the company’s driver mobile application
Electreon says the system can be installed without modifications to existing infrastructure.

Fleet Charging During Regular Parking Periods
Electreon’s case for wireless fleet charging centers on cable wear. The company states that frequent plugging and unplugging, daily handling, exposure to dirt and weather, and vehicles running over cables make charging cables and connectors among the most maintenance-intensive components of conventional EV charging infrastructure.
“Fleet operators need flexible and scalable charging concepts that can be easily installed at their sites and parking facilities and integrated seamlessly into day-to-day operations,” said Dr. Andreas Wendt, Managing Director of Electreon Germany. “Electreon Lite DOT offers exactly that and enables fleet operators to charge wirelessly during regular parking periods.”

The company frames the launch against EV adoption figures: it reports that European EV registrations rose more than 30 percent in the first half of 2026, and cites International Energy Agency estimates that EVs could reach roughly 40 percent of global new car sales by 2030, requiring approximately 150 million additional charging points by the end of the decade.
Electreon says the IAA presentation marks the start of the Lite DOT rollout. The product joins a portfolio that includes LINE (dynamic charging), DASH (opportunity charging), and DOT (charging while idle), alongside a vehicle-agnostic receiver platform. Following its acquisition of InductEV, the company reports holding nearly 400 patents, with more than 20 projects across Europe, Asia, and North America.
