Electrify America has launched its 1,000th EV charging station, located at Fashion Valley in San Diego, California. The station features 20 Hyper-Fast chargers capable of speeds up to 350 kilowatts (kW). This milestone highlights Electrify America’s commitment to expanding electric vehicle infrastructure and supporting the growing demand for fast, convenient charging solutions. Located within a popular shopping and dining area, this station offers EV drivers easy access to charging while enjoying the amenities of Fashion Valley. The company aims to reach 5,000 chargers by the end of 2024 to further encourage electric vehicle adoption.

Electrify America’s CEO, Robert Barrosa, emphasized the importance of this milestone, stating that the company’s open Hyper-Fast charging network now spans 47 U.S. states, the District of Columbia, and parts of Canada, making electric vehicles more accessible as a preferred mode of transportation.
The Fashion Valley station, located on Level P2 of Parking Structure D, joins an existing Electrify America station on the property. Together, these stations offer a total of 23 chargers, making it easier for EV drivers in the San Diego area to recharge their vehicles while they shop, dine, or enjoy entertainment options at the popular venue.
Electrify America continues to invest in expanding its network, with the goal of meeting future demand for electric vehicle charging across the country. The company aims to provide 5,000 public and commercial chargers by the end of 2024, supporting the transition to Zero Emission Vehicles (ZEVs) and facilitating broader EV adoption.
By integrating this station at Fashion Valley, Electrify America and its partners, such as Simon Property Group, are helping to create convenient, multi-functional spaces that serve the needs of both EV drivers and the broader community. Simon’s VP of Business Development, Daniel Segal, highlighted that the 85 Electrify America stations across Simon properties add value to both customers and local residents by offering a vital service in a convenient, accessible setting.
As EV adoption accelerates, Plug&Charge technology enables drivers to streamline the charging process, allowing them to simply plug in without the need for additional steps. Electrify America’s Premium Offer also makes it easy for customers to charge their vehicles seamlessly, encouraging the use of electric transportation as a more environmentally friendly alternative to gasoline-powered vehicles.
With over 10 million customer charging sessions completed in 2023 alone, and 380 gigawatt hours of energy dispensed, Electrify America is actively driving the shift toward a more sustainable future.
