EVgo Expands Nationwide Charging Network Enhancements

EVgo’s ReNew™ program, built on six pillars—Resilience, Prevention, Diagnostics, Rapid Response, Analysis, and Continuous Customer Service—demonstrates the company’s commitment to improving reliability and customer experience. The Canary Model™ is a key addition, automating performance monitoring to swiftly identify and resolve issues.

Detailed Improvements:

The ReNew™ initiative includes extensive equipment upgrades and replacements, boosting the number of high-power fast charging stalls by over 115% within the last year. In 2024, EVgo plans to replace legacy equipment with advanced models and install up to 150 new high-power chargers across the nation.

Additionally, EVgo has increased its charging capacity, with an 80% rise in the number of stations capable of serving six vehicles simultaneously. The company continues to identify locations that can support up to 10 vehicles at once, addressing the growing demand for EV charging infrastructure.

The introduction of the Canary Model™ marks a significant advancement in EVgo’s operational capabilities. This automated, data-driven tool accelerates diagnostics and maintenance by analyzing real-time data from charging sessions, reducing downtime and improving customer satisfaction.

EVgo’s commitment to reliable and accessible charging is further underscored by their efforts in streamlining payment processes, reducing repair times by 67%, and enhancing connectivity across their network. The company’s focus on continuous service improvements is evident in the reduction of call center support needed during charging sessions and the introduction of new on-screen guidance for drivers.

Looking ahead, EVgo is developing a next-generation charging architecture aimed at delivering cost efficiencies and enhancing customer experiences. This new system is expected to roll out in 2026, further solidifying EVgo’s leadership in the EV charging industry.
