Electreon has completed its acquisition of InductEV Inc., a U.S.-based provider of high-power stationary wireless charging for heavy-duty transit and freight. The deal combines Electreon’s dynamic in-road charging technology with InductEV’s ultra-fast stationary systems to create a single wireless charging platform.
Highlights
- The combined company now offers wireless charging across all use cases: dynamic highway charging, burst charging at stops, and overnight depot charging.
- Electreon’s portfolio spans passenger vehicles, light delivery vans, and Class 8 heavy-duty trucks.
- The merged entity holds nearly 400 granted and pending patents in wireless energy transfer.
- InductEV’s Build America Buy America (BABA) compliant manufacturing secures eligibility for U.S. government funding.
Combined Product Portfolio
The integrated product suite covers four categories:
- LINE (Dynamic): Charges vehicles at highway speeds and on urban corridors.
- DASH (Semi-Dynamic): Delivers high-power burst charging at bus stops, taxi queues, and traffic lights.
- DOT (Stationary): Provides automatic, hands-free charging for parked vehicles in depots and logistics hubs.
- Ultra DOT (Ultra-Fast Stationary): Specialized high-power charging for heavy-duty transit and freight, powered by InductEV technology.
Fleet Operator Benefits
The acquisition targets commercial fleet operators seeking alternatives to plug-in charging. Wireless systems eliminate cable handling, reduce driver downtime, and allow vehicles to charge during scheduled stops or while driving.
Electreon said the technology enables fleets to use smaller, lighter batteries. That reduces vehicle purchase prices and increases payload capacity. The company’s Flow software platform manages energy delivery to avoid peak-demand charges and costly utility upgrades.
Supply Chain and Compliance
The deal strengthens Electreon’s North American supply chain. InductEV’s BABA-compliant manufacturing allows transit agencies and federal contractors to access wireless technology while remaining eligible for government incentives. Electreon said the combined supply chain balances offshore manufacturing with domestic production.
Leadership Perspective
“By combining our proven dynamic wireless product with InductEV’s leadership in ultra-fast stationary charging, we offer powerful synergies in manufacturing and technology,” said Oren Ezer, CEO and Co-founder of Electreon. “We are now the only partner capable of delivering a wireless solution for every charging scenario, helping fleets go electric without compromising their operations.”
John F. Rizzo, CEO of InductEV, said joining Electreon gives North American and European customers “a clear, scalable path to sustainable, hands-free power that works at the speed of their business.”
ACT Expo Showcase
Electreon will demonstrate the full combined product portfolio at the Advanced Clean Transportation (ACT) Expo in Las Vegas, May 4–7, 2026. Fleet operators can schedule meetings with the company’s team in advance.
