EVgo, a leader in U.S. public fast charging, operates over 1,100 stations across 40+ states. The company partnered with Toyota to deploy these stations as part of a long-term collaboration. “Availability of charging is essential as consumers consider buying or leasing an EV,” said EVgo’s Executive Vice President of Growth, Scott Levitan. He emphasized the role of automaker partnerships in EVgo’s growth strategy.

Toyota’s “Empact” vision, launched in April 2023, focuses on accessible charging, affordable mobility, and lower carbon footprints. “Together with EVgo, we are supporting broader access to charging infrastructure for all battery EV drivers,” said James George, Toyota’s General Manager of EV Charging Solutions. The stations aim to serve Toyota and Lexus EV drivers while benefiting the wider EV community.

Local leaders praised the initiative. “Toyota and EVgo’s action to bring advanced fast chargers to Sacramento is an important milestone,” said State Senator Angelique Ashby. Similarly, State Assemblywoman Blanca Rubio noted, “Infrastructure investments like this are extremely beneficial to those in the region needing a place to charge their vehicle.”

EVgo also offers a charging program for 2025 Toyota bZ4X buyers, integrating station access into the Toyota App. With stations in amenity-rich areas, the partnership blends practicality with sustainability, advancing the shift to electrified transport.
