Scout Motors will show two versions of the Scout Traveler SUV concept — a new Mountainside concept and a reimagined trail-ready concept — at the Jazz Aspen Snowmass Labor Day Experience, September 4–6, 2026, in Snowmass, Colorado. The company says the pair demonstrates how one vehicle can support different kinds of adventure, with the Mountainside concept taking a warmer, more refined direction and the trail-ready concept emphasizing off-road capability. Both will appear alongside the Scout Terra pickup truck concept in the Scout Motors display, marking the first public appearance of the two Traveler concepts together.

Mountainside Concept
The Traveler Mountainside concept explores a more refined, premium expression of the brand, according to Scout Motors. The company’s Color, Materials and Finishes team built the concept around natural tones and tactile surfaces intended to become more personal with use.
The Morning Dusk exterior finish is a deep charcoal-brown that reveals golden metallic highlights in direct sunlight, a color the company says draws from the last light of golden hour. The concept rides on 22-inch Vault wheels in an anodized black and brushed finish, paired with 35-inch tires, and adds a panoramic sunroof.
Inside, the Alpine District palette pairs semi-aniline leather with custom gray woven fabrics carrying a subtle plaid pattern inspired by historic Scout interiors. Recycled walnut trim, warm accent colors, and houndstooth fabric on the headliner and pillars round out the cabin. Physical door handles, buttons, and knobs control key vehicle functions, and stainless steel speaker covers carry the Harvester grid pattern.
Trail-Ready Concept
The reimagined trail-ready concept moves the opposite direction, showcasing what Scout Motors describes as the Traveler’s most rugged character. Its Galvanized Steel exterior finish references raw metal and utility equipment, while a roof finished in a color called Canvas adds contrast. A black Cabana Top roof opens the cabin for an open-air experience.
The concept carries a set of off-road-focused concept accessories:
- Full-metal front and rear bumpers designed to preserve approach and departure angles
- Integrated front winch and rear tow hitch
- Elevated roof rack with forward-facing trail lights
- Rock rails
- Exterior spare-tire carrier with integrated fuel caddy
- 18-inch beadlock wheels in a gloss-black and satin-black finish
- 35-inch off-road tires
The Denim District interior theme draws on American workwear and the brand’s agricultural roots. Brick Red leather covers the instrument panel, seats, armrests, and grab handles, with denim-inspired fabric on the upper seat surfaces, door panels, and accessory straps. The trail-ready concept builds on the Traveler shown at the 2025 LA Auto Show, which used the same Brick Red and denim interior combination.

When Will Scout Traveler Deliveries Begin?
Scout Motors is completing construction of its Production Center in Blythewood, South Carolina, where the company plans for more than 4,000 employees to assemble the Traveler SUV and Terra pickup. The site already hosts a $25 million workforce training center opened earlier this year with readySC.
The company has begun testing and validating early prototype vehicles ahead of production. Initial validation vehicles are slated to be built in Blythewood in 2026, with that effort continuing into 2027 and customer deliveries expected to begin in 2028.
