Farizon SV Proves Real-World EV Range Performance

Farizon SV completed rigorous testing in the UK and China, with variants exceeding WLTP efficiency ratings by up to 9.7% and achieving 82.5% range fulfillment at high altitude.

The Farizon SV electric commercial vehicle has completed dual-scenario testing across the UK and China, generating performance data that validates its range capabilities under demanding real-world conditions. The trials subjected the vehicle to contrasting environments: persistent rain and varied terrain across Britain, and high-altitude plateau driving along China’s Qinghai-Gansu route.

Highlights

  • L3H3 variant achieved 2.402 miles/kWh efficiency, exceeding its WLTP rating by 9.7% during the UK trial
  • Fleet averaged 1,043 miles over five days across highway, urban, rural, and trunk road conditions
  • China plateau test recorded 82.5% range fulfillment at altitudes reaching 4,500 meters under full load
  • Two of three UK test variants outperformed their official WLTP-certified efficiency figures

UK GREENFLEET Explorer Rally Results

The Farizon SV fleet participated in the GREENFLEET Explorer EV Rally from September 1-5, traveling from Newquay in Cornwall to Knutsford, Cheshire. The route encompassed diverse driving conditions across Devon, Somerset, Dorset, Hampshire, Kent, Greater London, the Midlands, and the Peak District.

Variant Performance Data

The L3H3 model with 106 kWh battery delivered the strongest efficiency gains:

  • L3H3 (106 kWh): 1,004 miles traveled, 2.402 miles/kWh achieved, 9.68% over WLTP rating
  • L2H2 (83 kWh): 1,093 miles traveled, 2.335 miles/kWh achieved, 1.52% over WLTP rating
  • L1H1 (83 kWh): 1,031 miles traveled, 2.365 miles/kWh achieved, 92.5% range fulfillment rate

The L3H3 variant carried heavy equipment and powered refrigeration throughout the test. Calum James, General Manager for Farizon Auto at Jameel Motors UK, stated the results demonstrate the vehicle’s efficiency and reliability in commercial operating scenarios.

Qinghai-Gansu Plateau Test Conditions

The China trial covered 287 miles (462 km) from Lanzhou to Zhagana. The route presented significant environmental challenges:

  • Terrain: 100 km highway, 300+ km rugged national roads
  • Elevation: 1,500-meter cumulative gain, maximum altitude 4,500 meters
  • Temperature: Low-temperature conditions with cabin maintained at 26°C
  • Load: Three occupants plus 368 kg luggage

Road Segment Achievement Rates

Performance varied by terrain type during the China test:

  • Steep slope sections: 88.8% mileage achievement rate
  • National highway (Route 248): 86.3% achievement rate
  • Urban road sections: 82.2% achievement rate
  • Highway sections: 72% achievement rate

The overall range fulfillment rate reached 82.5% under these demanding conditions.

Technical Foundation

The Farizon SV’s range performance relies on three core technology elements:

  • Battery system: CATL 106 kWh cells with next-generation CTP-S pack technology
  • Vehicle architecture: Ultra-lightweight design reducing structural weight by 13%
  • Powertrain integration: Optimized energy management across driving conditions

The dual-scenario testing program provides commercial fleet operators with validated efficiency data across contrasting global operating environments.
