“Los Angeles’s special combination of ‘La Dolce Vita’ beach lifestyle, iconic car culture and high adoption of BEVs means it’s the ideal inspiration for our next 500e drop,” said Aamir Ahmed, head of FIAT North America. “The new Fiat 500e Inspired By Los Angeles reflects both Italian heritage, with its classic cinquecento design theme and made-in-Turin origin, and Angeleno culture, reflected in its Marine Layer Mist color and urban mission.”

Inspired By Los Angeles Design

The new model’s Marine Layer Mist color pays homage to the natural coastal phenomenon of Southern California, giving the car a unique, mystical appearance. The exterior also features matte gray mirror caps and black daylight opening (DLO) molding, while the interior boasts beige eco-leather seats and a soft-touch steering wheel.

Key features of the Inspired By Los Angeles model include:

  • Exclusive Marine Layer exterior paint
  • Black daylight opening trim
  • Matte grey mirror caps
  • Body-color instrument panel
  • 17-inch machined diamond-cut alloy wheels
  • Seven-speaker JBL audio system
  • Level 2 ADAS

The 500e Inspired By Los Angeles model is equipped with a Level 2 active driving system, combining adaptive cruise control and Lane Keep Assist to enhance driver support on select roads.

The BEV Experience

As the lightest passenger BEV on the market, the Fiat 500e offers an estimated range of 149 miles (240 kilometers) with a 42-kWh battery and a Level 2 (11 kW) charge time of six hours. The vehicle provides 117 horsepower and 162 lb.-ft. of torque, reaching 0-60 mph in 8.5 seconds, ensuring a balance of performance and efficiency.

The 500e is user-friendly and engaging, featuring a digital melody to welcome passengers and an acoustic vehicle alert system (AVAS) that sings “The Sound of 500” to pedestrians. The car also includes three years of real-time connectivity through the FIAT telematics system.

Charging is made convenient with an 85-kW fast charger system, allowing for a range of up to 31 miles (50 kilometers) with just five minutes of charge time. Additionally, the 500e includes an 11-kW AC-DC on-board charger, which can be scheduled via Uconnect or the Uconnect mobile app.
