Fisker Inc., a leader in electric vehicle innovation, has officially announced the expansion of its US dealer network, marking a significant strategic shift in its business model. The company has welcomed four new dealer partners across the United States, with plans to sign additional partnerships in the near future. These partnerships are set to enhance Fisker’s presence in key states including North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Maryland, New York, and New Jersey, spreading across seven strategic locations.
The newly signed dealerships include Ourisman Fisker, Classic Fisker, and Long Island Fisker, joining the previously welcomed Mills Automotive Group. This expansion reflects the growing interest from over 250 dealers in North America and beyond, eager to partake in Fisker’s Dealer Partnership model. On January 4, the company made headlines by announcing a shift from direct sales to a dealership model, aimed at accelerating the delivery of the Fisker Ocean SUV and boosting production capacities for future electric vehicle models. This transition signifies Fisker’s commitment to scaling its operations efficiently while maintaining a focus on sustainability and customer service.
Henrik Fisker, Chairman and CEO, expressed enthusiasm about the progress of the Dealer Partnership model, highlighting the shared dedication to electric vehicle advancement and community service among the new dealer partners. He stated, “I believe our customers will find that each of these dealer partners plan to provide top-level service and ongoing relationship building for owners of the class-leading and award-winning Fisker Ocean SUV.”
The Dealer Partnership model is designed to benefit all parties involved; customers enjoy no-haggle pricing and exceptional service, dealers receive larger market territories free from local competition, and the company can leverage an asset-light model to scale production. This approach aligns with Fisker’s mission to produce emotional and sustainable electric vehicles, including the all-electric Ocean SUV, which boasts the longest EPA range in its class at up to 360 miles and utilizes over 110 lbs. of recycled and bio-based materials in its construction.
