The development of the F-150 Lightning STX was a direct result of Ford listening to its customer base. Owners expressed a desire for an F-150 Lightning with more rugged capabilities and greater range than the standard XLT model offered. This feedback was the catalyst for revamping the series, similar to how customer insights led to the tech-focused F-150 Lightning Flash model for 2024. The STX is designed to meet customers where they are, providing a factory-built solution for a durable, long-range electric truck.

The STX series comes equipped for tough conditions. It features a standard dual-motor, extended-range battery configuration that delivers significant power and capability. This powertrain is targeted to produce an impressive 536 horsepower and 775 lb.-ft. of torque, providing instant acceleration and towing strength.
To enhance its off-road credentials, Ford has integrated components from its internal combustion F-150 lineup. The STX includes rugged off-road running boards from the F-150 Tremor and is fitted with new all-terrain tires on unique wheels. A standard rear e-locking differential further improves traction in challenging terrain, making the STX a formidable vehicle both on and off the pavement.
Distinctive STX Design and Features
The 2026 F-150 Lightning STX is visually distinguished from other models in the portfolio. The exterior features a fresh grille design with a striking grabber blue accent, along with STX-specific bedside and hood graphics.
Inside, the cabin includes new cloth seats with “STX” embroidered in Grabber Blue. For driver comfort, a standard heated steering wheel is included. For customers who anticipate dirty jobs, an optional black vinyl floor is available for easy cleaning and added durability.
New Colors, Pricing, and Availability
For 2026, Ford is introducing several new optional colors for the F-150 Lightning lineup. These include Argon Blue, Marsh Gray, and Ruby Red Metallic Tinted Clearcoat. These new options join the existing palette of Agate Black Metallic, Antimatter Blue Metallic, Carbonized Gray Metallic, Oxford White, and Star White Metallic Tri-Coat.
The 2026 F-150 Lightning STX will begin arriving at dealers in early 2026 with a starting MSRP of $63,345. Based on internal sales projections, the STX is expected to be one of the top-selling trims for the model year.
